Game worked fine...tried getting back into EVE after taking a couple years off. Now it will not launch. Flickers and then disappears. Have re-downladed and re-installed with no luck. Ran the repair tool as well and that did not work...what is the deal?

What model of Mac are you running on, Mac Book Pro, iMac, Macbook, Mac Air? What version of Lion (i.e., do you update Lion regularly?)?, Under your settings, do you have "automatically switch between graphics modes" checked? When was the last time you verified/repaired your hard drive? Does your Mac meet the minimum system requirements (if it flickers, I'd be curious if your model of Mac's video card has the correct shaders and video needs for some of the updates that occurred in Eve). Without giving too much about your system away, it would help if we had the hardware brands/models on your Mac and/or just the Mac type/version.

to find your Mac type/version, you can left click on the apple icon in your top toolbar and choose "about this mac". A new window will appear with some basic information. There should also be a button called "more info". Click the "more info" button and it will provide all of the information needed to help you troubleshoot this.

finally, if you have the Mac firewall active, have you allowed Eve access through the firewall app? Do you use Apple's disk encryption? Do you have an anti-virus installed?

Try deleting this folder:

/Library/Application Support/Eve Online

And then run eve. You can get to the library folder by holding down the option key while using the "go" menu in the finder.

I've had this same issue when running a client with the patcher that loads first. When I run clients that have been copied using the EVE Cloner those clients have no problems at all. Just tried deleting that folder and if fixed it. Thanks :-)
