You could have warned us earlier about the early-start of the DT, and maybe shared it on other more frequently visited sites than the news-page.... I mean, by the time I got home, it's DT and my skills are running low - and maybe I could have set new skills, if somehow I would have been warned about the early-start.
Good job! Evil

There's a thing, it's called "patch day", and it was announced as December 4th long ago. There's also a thing, called "queue up for patch day", perhaps you've heard of it. :)

Have you read ANYTHING??? There have been stacks of warnings. We've all had more than sufficient warning about early downtime, I've known about it for days now.

I'm reading back, and I've found a facebook-hint, and a "news-element" from yesterday... Well, seems like **** happens, when I'm not 24/7 on the web...

You were grouching that there was no warning. There was plenty of warning. Just because you missed it, that's entirely your problem.

The launcher keeps stopping at 92% (1.23GB) creating EVE_Online_453216-457011_win.patch. It's done this twice, and seems to be a problem for any patch over 1GB in size since the launcher came out. Is there a way to get around this? Is running repair the only option?

4th time attempted, still the same problem. Will try running repair. CCP - please do something to fix this issue with the launcher.

Using repair works to install the patch - takes a bit longer but it did download eventually.

I tried 3 times... the download hung at this same spot for me. Ran the repair tool, that was successful.

CCP must be racist. The Galante and Caldari seemed to be targeted in this Expansion. Y U hatin on us?

Really hate the HM Range nerf. Makes it real bad when the baddies use ECM to chop range down even further.

Would rather have damage over rate of fire to keep wasting T2 Fury Missiles. I guess I can replace my rate of fire implants with damage implants and see how that balances.

T2 Precision, though are better. Who needs drones when I can lock on with those bad boys?

Idea for future expansion. Reloading skill that reduced reload time by 1 to 1.5 sec per level.

What patch notes don't tell you:

a.) PVE

1. All missile ships are now obsolete (very low range and decreased damage)
2. All Drone ships are now obsolete due to new AI (your drones get targeted as soon as you deploy them)
3. All ships that rely on drones for protection against frigates are obsolete
4. NPC's tracking disruptor now affects optimal range and falloff instead of just optimal range, which makes 800mm's minmatar ships obsolete in pve.
5. All npc complexes and ark missions are now insanely hard to do, you can't use drones
6. There are only few ships that can save you from mission if you loose all of your drones and get stuck (scrambled with npc agression).
7. New meta 9 - 14 drone modules are obsolete for pve, since ai will always shoot your drones.
8. If you use marauders or other ships for guristas missions you'll get perma jammed, there's nothing you can do since you can't use drones.

b). PVP
1. All Heavy Missile ships are now obsolete
2. Drake is worst battlecruiser for pvp
3. Hurricane got nerfed so it is kinda useless now
4. Tengu now sucks compared to other t-3's
5. Very hard to gank someone ratting in low sec or 0.0 with stealth bombers or frigate since npc's will switch targets

yep sounds about right buddy..

spent months traning for 20+ mil sp in drones... for what? to lose them thx ccp

p.s WTB drone bpo's

Yeah, I'm getting sick of this crap too. Waiting for dev to finish on another game and shift my funding there. F--- ccp. Peeps deserve pink slips for xmas.

So far, loving the changes, thanks! The client even seems to operate much smoother than before and that at higher settings! Using a MacBook Pro (OS X and Windows 7 native, dual boot) here, so not a great gaming box, but it gets the job done.
