Removed non-capital skill requirements from capital remote assistance modules. (Shield Emission Systems, Energy Emission Systems, Remote Hull Repair Systems and Remote Armor Repair Systems)

In this case the gang links had previously been affecting Capital Remote Armor Repair Systems but not Capital Shield Transporters. This change brought the armor reps in line with the shield variants.
.

I'm fairly ceratin that they did affect capital shield transporters. I was repping towers yesterday and had 2.02s cycle time in triage + tech 2 siege links (no implants and unbonused ship)

It's a shame how silent you guys again tried to sell us a major game-change as a minor-detail. Just unbelievable. Again.

This.

CCP quickly quenched the warm feelings I had towards them from the tournament with this ice-cold p!ss-shower of a nerf without even telling us.

Damn nature, you scary!

Pretty ****** stealth nerf tbh and I just finished training a carrier V triage pilot (and you know it's just for that as he has amarr bs and carrier V and can only use hmls and caldari), so you've pretty well raped all my sp.

I'd quite like a refund of the sp thanks.

Triage isn't even remotely op'd. It's getting a nerf when the booster changes come in and two moros will blap a triage archon.

Edit, seige bonuses in all their forms most definitely applied to cap remote shield reps pre-retribution. You guys are either complete mongs or just flat out wankers, how did you manage to develop this game?

Yup the implications of the change were not spelled out very clearly.

When you say not very clearly, what I think you mean to say is "Completely and comprehensively evaded any mention at all." Just to prepare you for the incoming shitstorm the next time a lowsec alliance drops their armour+triage gang and are unable to get reps to land before their ships are in structure, I'll offer you some advice; Buff shield links in line with armour regarding cap reps and rescind today's stealth-nerfs.

Oh, the K162 guy above me just reminded me to mention, the WH community are going to **** bricks.

you should hear our coms lol

Our jabber channel might be in the middle of a collective meltdown.

This is a huge nerf that was totally NOT mentioned anywhere in patch notes, thanks for the ninja-nerf. Removing skill reqs and decreasing capacitor usage is pretty minor in comparision to this, yet those were mentioned n the notes specifically.

while i'm agnostic on the nerf i do gotta say that is one hell of a hidden change, I thought that was simply cleaning up the silliness of needing, say, remote armor repair I explicitly when it's needed to V for the capital skill

I just want to step in here for a moment and confirm what has already been stated by several others:

You are a complete muppet and this is not in any way accurate

Capital shield transporters absolutely did benefit from ganglinks previously

Providing links and having pilots with maxed out skills in certain aspects is what sets capital pilots apart from one another, it doesn't make sence to nerf capitals like this which is considered major for some alliances and then to fail to mention it anywhere!?!!

What it means is that no modules ...

Well thanks for that information, because there was nothing even remotely related to modules no longer affecting RR in the patch notes.

Rather big thing to overlook. You should feel bad CCP.

If the 5min Siege cycle on dreads wasn't enough to complete the extinction of the Triage carrier, CCP comes in with the Coup de grace in the form of a "footnote" to complete the task. It's bad enough you guys have to finger-**** everything for the sake of being relevant in your position of employment; but not being forthcoming on this prior to the patch is pathetic.

So Talismans and Energy Emissions implants no longer have any effect on CETAs? Can I get a refund?

Edit: Also, I'm fairly sure you're wrong about gang links affecting capital modules before this change. I've run plenty of rep ops, some with vulture boosts, some without, and I've watched my reps cycle quicker when I stick the Vulture into Fleet. And I've also seen ops where a chimera fits a cycle link but not the cap use link and all our triage carriers cap out. So clearly, they did have an effect.

I have to confirm about capital shield transporters got the siege warfare links and mindlink on their stats and worked fine last years. Vulture and mindlink affected the repair cycle and this dev dont know what he is talking about

We used them with bonus tengu/vulture and i dont know what is more pathetic: removing it, or a devel who dont know about the game trying to ask questions.

CCP, after 9 years, you didnt learned anything about how to implement a new patch without pissing off a big number of players with unexpected stuff.

As others have mentioned this isn't true siege links worked on cap shield transports just fine. As used in PL + goon cap fleets as far back as Delve 1 which you were in sir.

Now on the other hand if you wanted to remove gang link benefits from caps and replace them with some new capital gang link module that only racial Titans can fit that would be different and possibly interesting.
