Hello

I have recently started noticing some weird ship colors and textures with many ships in the game.. I told a member of CCP in game that the Cheetah looks entirely white to me amongst other ships and he told me that it's either outdated drivers or a bug..

So i'm gonna post up a few pictures of what i am seeing with a few of the ships and would greatly appreciate being told what the problem with this is and how to fix it..

Are these supposed to look this way?

Could it be that i have my in game graphics settings set up wrong?

Are others seeing these ships like this or do they look different to you?

Appreciate any help.. What?

Do you have you texture quality right down? If I remember correctly, myn look abit like that when I have the texture quality right down.

This looks like it is down to your graphics options being too low. The ship details/shaders have been turned to low which is why they look ... for lack of a better word ... crap.

Alternatively you can file a petition if you suspect this to be a bug.

Hope this helps.

If that is the case.. Which ones should i turn to high please?

There are a lot to choose from in the menu and some even say disabled.. I figured disabled was the default because i haven't disabled them myself and didn't want to touch them..

This is a screenshot of my Display and Graphics section on the esc menu..

What does clicking Optimize Settings do?

optimized settings are basically presets.

You won't break anything by experimenting, go ahead and click around, check things out for yourself. You can always set everything back to how it was before if things don't improve.

But to start with, I'd use the Optimize Settings and select quality.

If your hardware can support it I would put everything to High and check every box!

But some experimentation with the settings to find the sweet spot is not a bad idea.

I think the options you are after are:

Shader Quality
Texture Quality
LOD Quality

Try these on Medium and see how your computer fares.

This is CCP error, after the latest patch even the Maelstrom has a "Stainless Steel" look on its nose. I have the latest NVIDIA BETA drivers and these graphical errors are only present AFTER Retribution for me.
