Money is an issue. In Latinamerica robberies, murders, rapes, street fights and worst spike up in late nov up to january.

Nah, i wouldn't jump to conclusions like that. There's been a longstanding trend of worsening behavior.

Even look at the extreme cases of grisly murders and serial killers and whatnot. What used to be rare and shocking is now just another day. If Ted Bundy did his thing these days he wouldn't shock people at all. It would be news for maybe a day or two then it's on to the next horror story.

Hmmmm ... perhaps the end times are indeed coming.

I was speaking with some of my friends how you can find people in twitter these days that sell themselves freely for some kind of media exposure.

Girls, young beautiful venezuelan girls that a decade ago would have been awesome people to spend time in meaningful relationships are now openly showing themselves for free, prostituting themselves with no shame.

In our country being a "vedette" that shows nakedness and sexiness is the norm now, and people take sex for granted in ways that go beyond sexual freedom and fall into truly archetypical lusty licentiousness.

I see it from the sexual side, since violence, sheer violence like the one you describe is the NORM in latinamerica, but there have always been some moral restraints on sex, since we are mostly catholic with a good dose of protestantism.

Now , girls , the most taboo of taboos, expose themselves, and its now kinda hard to differentiate between a prostitute and a woman that lustfully enjoys sex with several partners and exploit their bodies for the sheer exuberance of being a desirable woman.

Panama is known, for instance for being a place where women cheat more than men, breaking the myth of the latinamerican "macho". Relationships are now brief affairs, that only involve sex, less people marry and usually only because they have kids, and even then they just live together for a while.

This might seem a bit strange, since for most people in Europe and the USA sexuality has been more or less, more open, but down here it was mostly taboo in some sectors.

But violence, the violence you see daily? thats the norm here for the past decade. Same with you regarding us in sex.

Perhaps we are just balancing it out?

Im honestly starting to believe that we are too many in this planet, and with current artificial restraints on economy and capitalism, there is just not enough for all of us.

Who knows? perhaps we are on the boundary of a generational breakthrough. I believe society as it is now, needs to break up and reform into something else.

Old Societal boundaries are obsolete for today's advent of technology.

You will see more fringe groups insisting on Isolation, but the change is unavoidable. Repression will become the new law, we are just too many, and grossly uninformed and uneducated.

Embrace the change, avoid conflict, for it is out there, waiting to snap on your neck and leave you a bloody corpse in the tides of transformation.

This world, this brave new world, is deadly.

Obviously i'm like anyone, I hate to get punched, and I hate the idea of getting arrested, but for a split second, I had decided to see if I couldn't kick this mans ass, I was about to give it the old college try when a smarter head prevailed, I said "no Zack, your car is way too awesome to let this apes face dent it", and I sped off towards home, and considering my ass isn't kicked, my car is pristine, and i'm not in jail, it was a good decision.

I just hope I continue to make good decisions during this "insane period", I guess is all I can call it. Its not just anger either, its like "hyper-emotion", normal emotions turned up to 11, all the time. recently I watched a woman, with a man she just met and who wasn't famous (i believe...) and she was basically trying to have sex with him in publc, I wish my g/f would say some of the dirty **** this girl was saying, I was shocked, and had a huge boner.

I have a few more just.. weird things i've seen that people have done all in the last 10-14 days, I am also feeling a bit more "**** you" lately, and its not me, I know I play eve and all, but i've always been a joke-ster, i prefer lolz to RAGE

tl;dr people are getting progressively crazy, i think i may be as well, but at a slower pace, or it started happening to them first, or... idk

thoughts? please leave me out of them, i'm looking for anecdotal evidence (or lack of) to support a theory


Forgive your enemy and pray for those who persecute you. Be a better person than them, you have no idea what REALLY drove them to those emotions and you can be assured it probably had nothing to do with anything YOU did but something that happened to them earlier in their day.

Confirming that people have been acting crazier than usual lately. It's impossible to accurately know why. Maybe those solar magnetic storms we've been having slightly scrambled everybody's synapsis relays. Maybe it's some kind of planetary PMS as we approach 12/21/2012. Maybe people overspent on useless stuff during Black Friday, and now they realize it and are irritable and cranky. I knd of doubt the Twinkies and Zingers shortage is having a widespread effect on moods, but you never know.

I didn't critizes(sic) zack cuz (sic) he's not a coward, son; I had a go at his spelling and advised him to slow down a bit before something goes pop, son. I also suggested that he not drive again for the benefit of all, including himself son.

If anything son, I alluded to the possibility that he might not have come out on top in an altercation with the other motorist.... something that may (or may not) have crossed his mind at all and might (or might not) have been responsible for his decision not to engage in a bout of fisticuffs despite his level of incandescent rage at the time.... son.

Whilst I haven't come down on either side of that particular fence, it could be argued that I alluded that he might be a coward son. How is this me critizes (did you mean criticising by the way?) him for not being a coward son. This would seem to be quite the reverse son.

Incidentally, there is nothing wrong in my eyes in backing down from a fight because you don't fancy the odds... if you read my tl;dr waffle you'll see a clear example of me doing exactly that. The difference is, I wasn't foaming at the mouth and planning to hurt someone (or be hurt by them) because I disapproved of their driving, son.

I've also long believed in the old maxim that if you find yourself in a fight without the odds overwhelmingly in your favour, you did something wrong son. On the rare occasions where I have been known to engage in pvp (either irl or in EVE) I really do like it if the odds are on my side son.

I feel it possibly would be helpful to explain that I'm in my mid forties and my parents are both over 65. Unless you too are drawing a pension you have no business calling me son, son.

Also, sockpuppet much? I put it to you that it is you that needs to grow a pair, son.
