Working with a fractured and isloated EU TZ Amarr Militia

I disagree with everyone and, as everyone knows, I'm always right.

The don't think the Amarr is as disjointed and fractured as everyone likes to portray them. My alliance operates in the EU TZ and regularly go on large fleet roams with Agony and other corporations/alliances (including most of the ones with Imperial in the title). As far as I'm aware Agony usually insist on some form of fleet doctrine for their roams and are very good at co-ordinating this. It usually just takes an EvE mail ahead of time (hint, hint).

I also see Fweddit and Almighty fielding large fleets practically every day and we are at least holding our position in terms of sovereignty. Admittedly some of these fleets aren't 'open' to the whole militia in the militia channel but this just stresses the importance of joining an established corporation as soon as possible.

Are the Minmatar a well-oiled, organised war making monolith? Judging by the recent LNA and UK debacle they have as much internal politics as any other militia ever did. Do the Minmatar blob? Sometimes. But lets be honest, so do the Amarr given any opportunity. Yes it can be frustrating, but this isn't cage fighting, and I'd be interested to hear from anyone in a fleet who refrained from shooting a war target because the odds were 20 to 1 in their favour. For the record there have been a lot of good fights around Floses, Aset and Metro and renting a holiday home there has actually been a breath of fresh air compared to the Kamela/Kourm grindhouse. I think it will get even better with the new geography post-Retribution.

The Amarr are actually in a better position, with better morale, than we ever were since Inferno but it seems we are only interested in perpetually stereotyping each other.

Sasawong is the most prolific plexer - he also has a huge number of kills.
FEO and LNA offer a lot of the resistance in Lamaa and Kourmonen and Huola - we never see farmers plexing on our behalf.

The main difference between the militias is that the MInnie comms are filled with laughter and jokes whilst the Amarrian comms are filled with tears and whining. Sometimes it makes my ears hurt - really I dunno why I moved my alt to iprot, it is depressing me.

Good luck with the hit and run tactics - most minnies favour this tactic and would get pretty excited hunting down Amarr skirmish gangs.

Otherwise, keep your chins up guys and keep trying. You are getting better!

Oh, and did you like the way we let you get your hopes up about Lamaa (85%) before our cross TZ collaborative effort between the PVP alliances plexed it back down? Twisted

Killing your ships and your hope makes for the sweetest tears!

How the hel did you get past our super strict application process? Also tears and whining just dont happen on our comms, well maybe some whining some times but mostly drunken stupidity and crap your mum jokes.

Last nights skirmish stuff was allot more fun actually and considering just how drunk i was it was a surprise i didnt get us whelped completely.

Also plexing lamaa wasnt a huge deal for us personnaly, i think maybe some of the other alliances may have been upset though.

I've had great fun since joining Amarr FW.

Being in Au TZ it is probably the quietest TZ so I may miss a lot of the politics etc....But to be perfectly honest I DGAF about the politics of it all I just like the fights as as such am having a jolly good time Twisted

Being ex-military I sometimes shake my head at the 'tactical' decisions made by the militias as it would be fairly easy for one side to completely stomp the other on either of the warzones if they banded together but tbh I think that would detract from some of the chaotic fun of the wz.

I have thought about becomnig a FC and seeing if i could change the amarr militia in various different way but tbh I can't be bothered and probably not many people would appreciate me doing such anyways.

so basically I'm having fun and don't see it changing. \o/

That is the Way, the Tao.

Balance is everything.
