One of my alts got together with 4 other pilots to bash a 1 man corps abandoned POS. Oracles and Amarr BS's all round and a laser fit domi using berserkers, it took all day, about 22 hours in total.

So not doing that again...

Ill add my £0.02 in here cos its something I'd like to see.

Reduce HP over time and hack them. Basically my not-fleshed-out-idea would be a combined approach once fuel has run out.

1) After the fuel has run out the HP starts to reduce so that over a month (say) the POS is down to 10% HP. This allows the traditional POSbash to get progressively easier. At any time the POS owners can refuel the POS and all mods work immediately again and the HP starts to increase again so that after the same time of being un-fueled (up to the 1 month max) it is again at full HP. None of this "just touch the POS" or online a mod and its immediately repaired. If it has been unfuelled for 2 weeks then it should take 2 weeks fuel to get it back to full strength. it should take some commitment to maintain a POS and if the owners let it go for a bit then it takes some time to return to full strength status - call it repairing the system degradation that occurred during the time of no fuel.

2) In parallel to the above - then once the fuel is exhausted the POS becomes hackable and stealable (either through a codebreaker or some new module - personally I'd vote for a codebreaker). The hacking phase is NOT concord-able. No wardecs required just hack and steal. Basically if you're not using it then it becomes available after a month to steal it. If you want to keep it safe then put some fuel in it and maintain it. (Use it or loose it). I also don't think the hacking process should take too long - remember the POS has been unfuelled for a month (using my example).

Agreed - This needs to be addressed not just for Moons but for WHs. Having all these indefinite towers is a bit anoying.

If the POS is off-lined - it should have just as much vulnerability as an abandoned ship.
Either have them implode after 45 days, or allow them to be taken easier.
