Get rid of the CSM and use straight up player input.

Instead of a few speaking for the masses(a few that are totally biased toward one type of play like the current CSM is). get rid of them and just put forth gaming ideas for additions and expansion before the players to vote on. Make it a part of the game where when a player signs in they are confronted with topic of discussion and then the cast a yes or no vote.

Problem solved. No more will a select few who speak for a minority have so much power that they can neglect everyone but themselves and the few they play with. This way every player has a voice.

Why don't you consolidate your anti-CSM posts into 1 gigantic thread? Do we really need random #23487 I HATE THE GOONS thread?

Or you could just run for CSM yourself and represent the play styles you feel are neglected.

Oh god...I'm gonna do it...

I agree with Karadion here. While I don't agree with everything that is going on with CSM/Mittens/Goons/WTF else people are complaining about every 5 min...I find the flood of people posting the same damn thread annoying beyond belief. I find some of these threads entertaining to read and then I read some of the threadnaughts that come from this topic and all I see after about page 3 is "RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE" It's stupid. I also wish everyone would pick a single thread to complain about things and stick to it.

Yeah...I took the goon's side...

How would you do that?

The benefit of the CSM is that it's centralized, and it voids "Tyranny of the Majority". CSM should have people from each "Demographic"

The pie is a tautology

You don't get it do you

The CSM just didn't get picked at random.

The "all" in your statement elected the "few".

Its called democracy, and its a way to cut the signal to noise ratio when the players complain.

Also I reported your topic as spam, theres tons of threads about this already, you could have put your idea in there.

What is so wrong with taking the Goon's side of things? IMO Goons actually give a **** about EVE and want to see it made better.

I don't mind taking the goon's side, I was just making it clear to the flame beasts and idiots of the forum who i was siding with. To be honest I had expected to get a bunch of numbnuts saying "OMG down with the goons why would you side with those A**holes!?!?!?!"

Some people don't get it, I can't hear that stupid "run for CSM yourself" anymore,

The CSM are highly dedicated persons (with a lot of knowledge about EVE) which invest a lot of their time to EVE and this includes election campaigns. Problem is, not everyone is so dedicated or has the time for it....you now, like casual players who just want to have a little fun in a computer game.

Do I blame the CSMs? Hell NO, they fight for what they think is the best for EVE. Unfortunately, as they are so highly immersed in the EVE Universe and their particular play style, the needs and wants of casual players don't have an impact on them how they receive the development and the stalemate in null sec.

The problem is that the CSM represent the hardcore players, and this is okay because they represent the players which elected them (look up the definition of 'representative"). Meanwhile casual players will not vote or run for CSM because they are not so involved in the game.

Focus Lharanai focus,

facts

the CSM represents the hardore players, and thats what they are voted for by hardcore players

there are a lot of casual players in EVE

these casual players will not run for CSM because they have no interest/time to do it, EVE is just a game to have fun

casual players pay for their accounts too, but have no voice to represent them

if casual players have no fun, they leave, without protest, without outcry, they just leave

CCP ACCEPT just the part that the CSMs only represents a part of all eve players and everything is fine, just DON'T make them the only voice you hear because they are so loud and easy to hear.

Seriously, don't take me serious, I MEAN IT...seriously

Once again, this is a service, not a democracy. CSM isn't a government, and there was no option for "no CSM at all".

No, you gave a suggestion that is incapable of presenting or prioritising any issues with the game. That benefits no-one.

Seriously next election give us the option to get rid of the CSM and if over 50% vote for that then get rid of it.

The CSM itself tried to do a player poll. Docking games was the number one issue raised.
