Just 15 sec into the new trailer ccp droped the ball showing the new ore frig with 4 mining lasers mining when in fact you can only fit 2. So ah ccp dont know how to count?

Those were the T2 variants which can use 4 lasers.

Quote:
2nd problem with the trailer is in the end were you see new des well within the bombs blast field should have poped them.

They did pop. But you didn't see them pop due to lag. (You wouldn't enable time dilation when making a video, would you?)

Considering the 50B bountry, maybe those are super-rare 4 laser frigates that you'll get for drinking Soundwave under the table.

Kinda corny, takes itself a bit too seriously, but a HUGE step up from the Inferno... video. Something that works for both a non-EVE player (they can understand what's going on without a bunch of meaningless features being listed and it looks cool) and an EVE player (they see the new features without them being rammed down their throat via text roller coaster). A big step back in the right direction.

Why is everyone overreacting to this? It's a dramatisation for the purposes of promoting the expansion and giving people some eye candy to interest them.

What was the last movie you saw in which the trailer represented it properly or gave any sense of the actual quality of the movie?

It's the same with games.

I'm hoping this becomes a feature eventually.

Apparently only if you are the richest person in the galaxy. Also, is it really needed. The attacker couldn't see the markings at all when he attacked, so why have them on their?

Also I just felt like this trailer was becoming a Jane Austin novel, with focusing on the rich and how awesome they are. Did Punkturis write the trailer?

What does any of that have to do with corp logos on ships?

Erm, putting 50B+ ISK bounty on someone because he blew up a mining frigate?

It was 60bil, and since when is that a lot of ISK? Smile

I didn't say it was. But imagine how many sets of 3 mining frigates you could buy for 60B ISK. Big smile

A few mining frigates, 30 million ISK.
Making someones life who crossed you much more difficult, priceless.

While we are at it, lets yet again thank the people whose over reaction made that possible... because it's so much better having to visualize things like this in our heads, rather than being able to watch the character driven parts of it transpire on our computer screens like they get to do in other video games.

I liked it. They were able to showcase all the new stuffs. That was the point really.

The truth of it all, a frigate, even a mining one would have warped off before the Widow even got a lock. They needed something to happen to set the wheels in motion.

Because miners are well known for their ability to pay attention to their surroundings.

I had 1 warp off on me.... after concord blew up my thorax when I failed to blow up his retriever with it.

Because GD showcase a few fail mails and some guy bumping Mackinaws? Stereotype miners if you want. It doesn't make it true.

You don't join Goons... you're either a Goon or you're not

^^ True fact... I knew a guy who knew a guy who invited a guy to eve, when the new player was in game he received a message from his friend asking what NPC corp he started in. The new player replied that is was called "Goonwaffe". Those 2 friends never spoke to each other ever again.

I didn't mind the trailer... Okay I lie I didn't like it much, previous trailers where far more intensive and made you want to get into eve, this one doesn't...

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

They either weren't very good friends to begin with, or the inviter was an idiot.

In the film industry we use a script supervisor, but honestly despite the very small amounts of breaks in continuity; I found the trailer pretty nice. Some of you guys needs to relax and just enjoy it.
