It usually takes longer to wait in line to buy groceries than that. I agree with your second point about already having guns, but it's a little ridiculous that your upset over having to wait in line for such a short time.

In the US it usually takes days or weeks to purchase a firearm.

None u.s clittyizen here and never bought a gun previously. Took approx 2hr to legally purchase my shiny ruger sr9 and
coincidently never needed to use in self defence in the number of years i have been here.

General concern was shown by the gun shoppe owner at my inability to know which end was the hurty end but with
some coaching and practice at the local sports park i am proficient enough not to shoot myself in my girl nads.
Depending on where you live it can take anywhere from 20 minutes to months to buy a gun. When I lived in Illinois it took me several months just to get my foid card. Once you get your FOID card you can then buy a gun which you will then have to wait for because of waiting periods..

"Communism" has absolutely nothing to do with it. It's mere delusions on the part of the politicians who want to look like they are doing something so they pass ill conceived laws and then boast about being tough on crime to their constitutes which includes you and I...

The ATF's instability is what is pressuring me into getting a s12 asap before any stupid rule changes.
Here's a prime example as to why experienced gun owners either facepalm or laugh when the ATF is brought up.

Basically the ATF are scared of the looks of the airsoft "guns". Which fits right in with how government has been regulating guns. If the gun is scary looking the odds of being banned are significantly higher then if the same gun has non scary dressing..

If you like AK-47 clones you will want yugo version. It will go under firm "Zastava" that is Serbian firm and by far they are making best AK-47 clones and better than Russian version.

I used that gun in my three deployments and never ever it had any problem with it.Recoil is a bit pain but it never let you down, simply you can do what ever you want with that gun and go water ,mud name it and it will shoot as nothing happened ( and I used various guns from H&K to SAR).

I think on USA soil it is called Yugo M70AB1 (AKM) ,cause your sellers use different names like for example EZ9 pistol that is used by our special forces and police by name CZ99 (also if you look great gun for low prize ).
There is also PAP version that is just for big sales and have mag issues since for some reason in US version come withe Korean or Bulgarian magazines that are not original (we use metal magazines ),even that rifle looks cool M70AB1.Also it seems that Walmart ammo is not in love with that rifle ,due low quality of ammo casings in general stores.

That's debatable to say the least. I've seen plenty of Yugos that I would never classify as the best. Most people agree that the pre-ban chicom ak47s are the highest quality.

Personally so far I'd call it a wash between the quality of my saiga and the few nice yugos I've seen.

Of course there's also those that believe the VEPRs are higher quality then the SAIGAs..

IMy SAIGA has shot +600 rounds of walmart stuff without issues. While I do prefer to mail order golden tiger or such I'm not always able to get the money up for such a large purchase. So sometimes I stick to grabbing a few boxes at walmart when heading to the range with friends.

I used various versions and I am not biased about guns.I just say my personal expiriance.Problem with Yugo rifles is that mags are not original in some cases. For example Yugo M70AB2 if you get it with original mags is just sick, but if you get mags from other eastern EU countries it can jam.

I dont say saiga is bad I just say this can come with lower price ,since our economy is crap and we offer them by lower prices for exports.Ex Yugoslavia had great factories for small guns and in most cases they were on par with original models and not rare in some cases even better.

We cant own this kind of guns on permit in Serbia and our laws for guns are harsh (by new laws even hand guns are pain in ass to get permit) ,only hunting rifles and you can have and only if you pass serious amount of tests or know someone in police. But since I was in army when wars on balkan was up, I sadly had chance to use those guns and they are I must say good.

Went for my second range day with my Saiga today... the 2 1/2" shells are too small for the magazine so I can only load and fire one at a time but I figured out the problem and it's easily fixed.

That being said I really hate the AK action... it's loud and makes grinding noises, also it makes me feel dirty when I field strip the weapon to clean it. This is a design for the unwashed poor people of the world Evil

My AK action came smooth from the factory. You might want to polish the rails guides bolt and hammer face. There's a variety of videos showing how to do so. I prefer to lube my AK like the guy in the following link except I also use a thin layer of breakfree CLP first.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSjE_nEFa0c

My action is smoother then some AR actions I've seen at the range.

I'm beginning to think you have a problem AK that needs some serious loving.

But those guns are heavy, and it takes awhile to find the keys to open the case to them. Plus tips always help to lower the wait time. :)

Yugo/Zastava did themselves no favours in the west with their take on obsolete Fiats, I know that in the UK they were despised and the butt of more jokes than pre VW Skodas (some of which were actually pretty good, I had a 110R as my first car, it was the most fun I've ever had with my pants on, especially in the wet as it was just a tad tail happy)

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

yeah those aren't too well taken care of usually.. Assuming there's nothing really wrong with your gun then you probably just need to put a couple thousand rounds through it. The more you shoot it the smoother it'll get.

I figured out the problem... for some unknown-to-me reason the 410 round comes in 3 lengths... the 2.5," the 2 3/4," and the 3"

The range only sells the 2.5" and I have a 3" chamber so the magazine that came with it is for 3" shells... my high cap (15 rounds) magazine is for 2 3/4" shells so that totally explains the feed problem I was having.

This might explain some: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/22377-different-shell-sizes/#entry195188

Also, in the world of guns and ammo:
3" = ~76mm
2 3/4" = 2.75" = 70mm
2½" = 65mm

I think it is more of a liability issue. If you extend the tube magazine forward, and you go too far forward, when you shoot the ammo loaded with shot (instead of slug), the shot spreads out and might hit this long tube magazine, worst case scenario is that it might detonate the ammo in the magazine. I think that is why all the tube magazines that I have seen so far end where the barrel ends.
