What was the most significant, or your favorite, Eve expansion?

Well I can't say I have an absolute favorite but I loved Dominion for new planets, finally fixing up the IGB into something decent, and finally making the blood raider ships worth flying.

Did you know prior to Dominion I had plans to fly a 800mm auto bhaalgorn for missions? XD

I started during Trinity....

Apocrypha was an amazing expansion.... and probably the best expansion to date.

Dominion had amazing potential, but I feel the Sov System they left us with is incomplete, and needs some serious iteration (i.e. it needs something influential to Sov that isn't a superstructure alarm clock target).

Crucible was very important, especially with CCP's new commitment to fix broken and incomplete areas of the game.

I think Retribution will be my favorite to come: The new crimewatch system, the bounty system, Wardec Fixes, FW fixes, NPC AI upgrades, Tiericide of all frigs and cruisers.... This is enormous, and I'm soooo looking forward to it....

And hopefully, the expansion after Retribution will include Sov Redesign (including a boost to nullsec small gang / guerrilla warfare), POS redesign (including a boost to nullsec industry and the general WH lifestyle), Tiericide of BC's and BS's, perhaps a revamp of t2 ships, and then I will be satiated enough to wait a year and a half for another Apocrypha style release!

Patch day in Apocrypha was like playing a new game. People were getting carriers and hero ships stuck and lost in WH space... most players weren't really sure how WHs worked or if they could tank Sleepers, ship production went crazy, T3 cruisers entered the game... it was madness. Best patch ever, imho. Big smile

Retribution honestly looks like it's shaping up to be one of the best ones.

I've technically been an EVE player through a lot of expansions, just not a very active one!

you wanna know something cool?

if you have a big enough usb stick, you can install "portable apps" (www.portableapps.com) onto it. it lets your usb stick act as a platform to run any program from as if it was a portable app itself. (pretty much makes it another C: drive i guess)

then you install EVE into your portable apps folder on the usb stick. plug your usb stick into your computer, RUN EVE FROM USB STICK!! :)

then you can also run it from any computer!

this is assuming, of course, that your work computer can actually run eve.

i do it at work occasionally too.

Apocrypha... followed closely by Trinity.

Can't wait to dual box my Dust toon and EVE toon on the same machine!

Apocrypha above everything ! We are a lot inside the corp to have troubles picturing EvE without WHs.

Then Crucible.

Retribution will probably put crucible in third position, I criticize a lot of it's feature, but this is because remaining ones are soo good.

Dominion.

When they deliver the remaining features they cut, and polish the ones they did get in that is Blink

Other than that, probably a toss up between Trinity and Apocrypha.

As a casual Eve player I loved the Empyrean Age patch that came with Factional Warfare. Sure was nice in the beginning whenX there were 700 in the militia channel and a fleet was always running up every 15 mins for some pew pew. Good times....then CCP just ignored FW...meh still fun for a time though.X

I've beenhere for 7 years, and this expansion, coming out right now. Is the best expansion eve has ever seen.

They fixed the bounty system? what?

UI improvements? we've been asking and teased about that for like 5 years!

Actually making more than 7 ships in the whole game useful? Holy ****. This si the biggest change I think eve has ever seen. aNew team of people doing balance changes all the time? nice.

New turret sounds? well yeah ok neat. BUT new UI sounds? AWESOME. I love opening the map, the new music system is crazy. Love the new gate sounds as well, great touch.

Factional warfare wasn't patched 6 months ago with promised fixed and abandoned?? you mean I might be able to play eve again? : 3

The V3 project is making some really nice strides! Now make sure skins are something you buy for money and then never lose thank you.

This expansion could of just been a revamp of the tier system in eve, and it would be the most important expansion in eve history ever.



Hey didn't they say more NPE changes were coming out anyone hear anything about that?

Apocrypha was definitely my favorite. The wormholes.... The Intaki FINALLY being able to redo their stats to something useful....

You know that you can play EvE form your USB flash disk? withoutt any instalation, just plug and play, try it.

Apocrypha was the best, at least since I started playing in 2007. Worst was clearly Incarna, followed by Dominion.

CCP mostly sucks at their job, but Veritas is a pretty cool dude.
