Two weeks really, thats with the first week mainly focussed on isbra. So yes, it an effort. I actually quite like that it isnt easy. I hope that the new changes dont make it too easy. I do feel that matter what changes you wont be happy anyway. Your current attitude isnt helping, it is more likely to be nothing but negative, cheer up. Stop being sorry for yourself. Stop crying about the past

FW is fine.

and it will still be fine after the patch....I don't see the changes making much of a difference. maybe getting more brawling going on with the button moving closer to warp in but not convinced...hopeful though.

At some point we should look at numbers to see if it was fine. CCP has done allot of things outside of faction war to improve eve. Ship balancing improved ui helping miners etc etc. These are all considered improvements that have happened recently. Lets say that all these improvements outside of faction war only lead to an increase in 10% of subscribers.

What has the fw changes brought? I certainly anticipated that if ccp really fixed fw they would get a 100% increase in subscriptions. Perhaps even a 200% increase since its appeal could be a to whole new neglected set of players. What increase have we gotten from the 2 expansions dealing with what could be a huge part of eve?

http://eve-offline.net/?server=tranquility

Nothing possibly even a decrease depending on how impact we credit the other improvements.

Yes many eve players shifted into faction war because of they can now make several times the amount of isk. But the changes have not lead to any sort of increase in the overall numbers of players in eve. At some point ccp needs to look at numbers to see if what they did was a success or failure.

The pvp/pve aspect is getting really old with some people continually re-posting the same crap over and over again.

While I do not agree that it is crap to make occupancy plexing less of a carebear race. I do agree that the issue is old.

Its more like ancient. One year ago Hans ran on a campaign in which he pushed for this. And it wasn't like it twas a new idea from him. People were asking for the occupancy to be less of a carebear race since before I was even involved in fw. You would think ccp would actually address the concern.

Instead like they did with incursions. They threw allot of isk at the new feature. That shifted allot of already existing eve players to that but didn't increase the overall numbers. Throwing isk at one part of the game will increase the players in that part but it won't increase the overall number of subscribers. You need to improve the actual gameplay to get more subscribers.

With high-SP well organied groups like SP-DR leaving for Gallente, it ironically hurts the Amarr more than it does the Minmatar IMO, especially when you have a situation where the Amarr are being organized flying together while the Minmatar seem to be working less and less cohesively.

I cant help it if they are willing to move their whole alliance across space just for me. Or then they are just scared of possible fights in your space, seeing none of them undock without their multiple OGB's. Naturally their blob is not big enough for them either as it seems they have happily blued every local pirate group alreadyBig smile

I find the Amarr's very dis-jointed tbh, so far I have come across 3 alliances, invited into one chat channel but with little or no intel coming though.

on EU TZ we are clearly outnumbered, but we are finding ways around to other less blobbed systems. The new changes making an extra jump gate between "north/south" should help :)

Also not having an issue with the mini blob, working on getting similar numbers :)

And how is that proof they blued every pirate group in the area?.

Try being a bit more specific, like mentioning which pirates came to save this tornado, then we can talk more and you might not sound like such an idiot.

Well, they are on killmails with Snuff box among others but you probably missed the Big smile on original message, which one can interpret as not-so-serious message but does not change the actual message that they have blued some of the biggest pirate corps in the area and use it to fight their wars in FW.

If you are talking about the Goinard fight they are prolly also on the same killmails as PL Props to SP-DR for a well executed plan to blue HBC and them drag them near the FW area so Gal Mil can better cope with Damar.

Is everyone looking forward to the new patch coming out in December if so please say your reasons why and what are you happy about, and looking foward to. More cruiser sized fights? Wanting to try out new fleet comps, only looking for responces in Amarr / Minmatar space pilots / combants.

For those of you who are utterly unfamiliar as to how inter-pirate relations work, let me clarify them for you.

We don't like eachother all that much, we do like trying to shoot eachother when we think we can get away with it.

HOWEVER, we generally all like eachother a bit better than we like you. So if the opportunity presents itself to shoot FW, and it is convenient to do so together... You bet your booty we will :)

[Addendum: the reason for this, is that to many pirates the feeling is "we were here first" and FW are just invaders]

Did that help?

Ms. Busoms. Long time, no see!

Also... that sentiment is mirrored among FW groups with regards to pirates. Blink

No doubt, but there is always those silly accusations of "blue" when in reality all there is, is "extremely shaky alliance of opportunity, valid to the door"

There are a bit too many new changes to sort out. I am pretty sure you will see allot of different ship types being used though.

The novice plex and the minor/small plexes should be interesting. Especially the minor/small plexes. I tend to think the new destroyers will dominate them but they will also allow t2 frigates in.

The medium plexes should be pretty interesting too. T2 cruisers with their native resists and logistics should shake things up for mediums. No bcs in the mediums I think they will only be allowed in the unrestricted. So the days of BCs being dominant may be numbered. I think we will definitely see allot of different ships being flown. The new T1 cruisers are not that far behind the hacs so newer players should still have a place. They are actually about as good as the faction cruisers.

No crazy numbers of npcs in plexes will be nice. But we will have to wait a bit for the timer rollbacks.

I am not sure if they will let everyone in local see the amount of time on different plexes right away or if that comes later. That will be a welcome change from having to warp around all the time to see if someone is in a plex.

Warp in being closer to the button is something I am not thrilled about, but it really won't change much.

Oh yeah the whole crime watch changes should be very nice too. I think the sentry guns stop after you warp away no more having to sit around for 15 minutes. Plus you don't go past -5 unless you pod people.
