Lowsec LADAR sites- worth it?

I find lots and lots of these, but haven't bothered with them at all. I know null and WH ones can be pretty good, and I'm hearing something about combat ladar sites that are good too. Is the gas worth harvesting? What ship should I use? What are combat ladars, and which ones are they?

They are hackable sites like radar sites, and give blueprints and reactions needed for booster production.

Gas sites have nebula in the name, e.g. emerald nebula, hackable ladar sites are named something like Sansha Gas Processing Site

As far as combat ladars are concerned, I can only speak for the ones I've done. I fly mostly in Serpentis space and have been able to do all ''combat'' ladars with an Ishkur, since there are little no webs, but the incoming damage is FAR greater than that of a radar/magnetometric site. Despite the term combat ladar you need hacking tools to open the cans.

Gas sites themselves are generally not worth running in lowsec unless you have something to do with the gas, the gas takes alot of space. 10 m3 per unit for booster gas, afaik.

Generally speaking, if the site is called ''nebula'', it's a gas site. If it's not, it's a combat ladar.

I have not tried to do the hackable Sansha ladar sites in an assault frig, but i suspect if going to be very hard if at all possible. I've only seen two different sites, the easiest of the two has 4 elite cruisers (maybe battlecruisers), and while you can open the cans while they are alive i think you would have a hard time doing so in a frigate. The other site has some 'hard' battleships which i believe you need to kill, and i don't think that is going to be possible with a assault frig.

For all salvage sites (rad/mag/lad) in low-sec i would use a battlecruiser with mwd, the only exception would be sites where i know there are going to be multiple battleships, in which case i may which out the mwd for ab. While it may be possible to do some/most of them in cruisers/T2 frigs, it's going to take a lot longer.

With the new ORE frigate and 5000m3 space for gas this is a wholoe different thing. Also deoending on the price of the said gas obviously.

The new ore frigate is going to make it a lot easier to mine gas, both the skill specific bonus and the roll bonus gives a nice boost to gas mining. I just don't think gas is a high demand commodity, and that's not going to change. You can not produce boosters in hi-sec, and it's not a problem it get gas in low/null-sec.
