Ok ive not been playing long but ive been reading a little about faction warfare. But I have a few questions.

1.Can a reasonably new player get into FW quickly?
2. Is there much of an isk making opportunity?
3. Are there many corps that soley do FW
4. If so who are they?
5. If i join a FW will i need to use voice coms?

FW is generally rather accessible for a new player. Usually if you're going to pvp in fleets, being able to use voice coms is fairly critical for rapid coordination and relaying of information while flying / killing other people's ships.

If there is any notable issue with FW you may wish to keep in mind, it's that regular and full participation (FW PVE & PVP) in it will rapidly erode your standings to the opposing factions who you're shooting at. The issue here is that this generally results in you being cut off from that factions' regions of space. For the duration of your FW participation and even if you leave FW.

While the standings issue CAN be repaired and resolved the process generally involves an excessive quantity of mindlessly numbing PVE grinding. Making FW inherited standings losses quite dramatic. For a new player, FW may be quite fun, engaging and self sustaining. Yet a year or two later when large chunks of space are cut off from you, various forms of PVP or PVE may not be accessible to you at all. War targets and people for whom you have killrights will be able to run to that other part of space where you can't travel with your corp/fleetmates, etc.

In brief if you wish to butcher an Alt's standings, or have a pure FW alt it's good fun, profit and so forth, - but if you're a new player and want to get fully involved in all of what Eve has to offer over the course of your career, on your main, you may want to seriously consider the consequences of FW participation and how much you enjoy particularly long, and numbing PVE experiences.

1) Yes.
2) Enough to cover your losses.
3) Yes.
4) Check the recruitment forum.
5) You will want to use voice comms. Whether you will need to depends on the corp you join.

1. Yep, especially moreso with the Retribution changes.

2. Yes. However, it's not consistent, but it's large bursts of income as cashing out happens. This may change with Retribution.

3. Yep, plenty. There are also some who do a sort of hybrid FW/piracy gig, too.

4. I'd tell you, but I'm not supposed to endorse any specific corps P. Check out the recruitment tool and recruitment forums. You can also join the non-corp militia for a bit to get a feel for who the major players are, and ask them to either join or to point you to a better place.

5. If you join any PvP corp you will most likely need to listen in to voice comms at the minimum. Typing fleet instructions is really slow, and inhibits piloting, so any real group PvP typically happens using some form of comms (be it Eve Voice, Mumble, Teamspeak, Ventrilo, Skype, or whatever). The corp you join should have the information listed at recruitment time.

Being able to speak (having a mic) might not be required, but it's preferred.

You can jump right in w/o joining a corp initially. You will find pick-up groups and have access to faction comms. Then you can figure out FW corp activity, get an idea of what type of FW corp to join. Though as a new player, you might benefit a lot with joining a corp quickly or initially for those that have the time to train you. You will most likely need voice if you join a FW corp, yes at least to listen for targets being called out.

I'm in it for the money
