Would love to hear a write-up from your side. Kind of curious about some random things, like how you enjoyed the 30 bubbles i dropped on your logoff spot that first night (still a bit peeved at our euros for not making better use of that). Also, about that Shield Tanked Ninja Moros we caught fairly early on.

The smack talk thing was the only reason we actually joined too. We really do not like evictions of PVP entities.

When Narhwals left C6 last year and Elysium was gone (yes i realize the irony it was a learning point for us) we went so inactive for lack of fun that we nearly left C6. Exhale, Surely your joking and the PVP turn of Starbridge is what made us start playing again

EvE is a game with lots of smack talk of course and you have to have iron skin to play this game I tell my players your fine to smack as long as it's funny and you have to be adult enough to understand the difference. I see players in my alliance start to become personally insulting I smack the **** out of them for being stupid kids is how I usually handle it.

There is a limit to what we like to see though racism, and calling people's mothers whores is way over that limit. I know it's par for the course in 0,0 and well that's a good reason why a lot of us are in wormholes. to get away from the "kids" that seem to have taken over this game in a lot of ways.

When we agreed to join i still advocated MrAl to go for some form of reconciliation rather than a whole eviction because we were deeply uncomfortable about it. Something along the lines of a public apology but I think he was way too pissed to really go for the idea.

However, after reinforcing a lot of the posses and it getting really late/early for us we got to a point where I realised if we stopped reinforcing them then this wouldn't be a full eviction due to it turning into Monday I was secretly pleased.

Then the next day we saw that one of the posses was named "Utøya lol" or something to that effect after the place where the massacre in Norway took place last year our doubts was dispelled.
And then one of the guys in local bragged about it "Kari Buresu > utoya was my idea, so proud :)"
I personally know people who were murdered there and also a few that survived, who have went from being outgoing active people to scared recluses sitting at home refusing to go outside over a year later. And being a heavily Norwegian corp and it being a very small country I know a lot of our guys also do.

That was a bit too much for our liking, I imagine most people in EvE would feel the same at least I hope they would, I still have some trust in the humanity of the players of this game.

The next day we had started spotting a lot of VOC guys and we realised our UZ tz would have no chance to stand up to a coalition hence asked our Aharm Bro's if they could send us some UZ tz players. There was talk about bringing Starbridge also, but this had already turned into a way larger coalition then we really ever like being a part off so the idea was turned down for the second time. We still remember the first and second Nato with absolute hatred. My players made me swear I wouldn't bring us down that path again after the first and then made me swear on my life after the second Cool

When we started killing POS and saw their 20 dreads, and also realized there was probably a fair few VOC in system we realized this could be a pretty hefty fight. We tried to bubble their Dreads by warping in Devoters to the POS they were all staged at but with only 3 active devoters we couldn't cover them.

We realised afterwards we had a 4th but he was Wspace and didn't speak English, which pretty much summed up the entire weekend. There was a few points I wanted to leave the game for serious trying to organise everything. Think I found new found respect to anybody who manages to organise fleets with multilingualism god knows I never want to do that again Blink

Much love to the Wspace guys tho MrAl especially is a great guy, It was just too much of a headf..k for me to do again.

So with our chance to dictate the fight to less of an disadvantage gone we had 2 options left. Go for what we knew would have been a suicidal fight or, wait to EU tz where we could take hole control again with number superiority get in every other Ally we know thus raising the bar again. And keep it going all week.

My members were annoyed already at how far this had escalated and only really wanted a fight not a protracted siege lasting over a week. With the guaranteed outcome of one side reaching vastly superior numbers, and thus no fight just a pos gank on a corp that we know provides fights in WH.

Tai(Aharm) who had came to the party late felt the same way and was urging a fight. Contrary to what you say Gnaw LF Aharm's culture is not one of evicting pvp entities. Maybe it was before,e we never kept tabs on them but they have reached the same conclusion as the rest that evicting pvp entities is self harming.

So yeah the rest is history. We jumped 20 dreads with 10 of our own. similar size subcap fleets, but some advantage there at the start but ended up outnumbered quite heavily on subcap fleet as well.

Fleet was told that this was a suicide OP and everyone agreed to go for it just to see what we could make of it and it was a insanely good fight.

Heift convoed me afterwards and apologized for smacking in Local, which was cool but not really needed it wasn't exactly bad smacking just a bit unnecessary at a point when we were prepping to give them a name in wormholes by actually taking the fight hardly anyone else would have had the balls to do. Lol
(Except Exhale probably, So sorry Hathrul I know we owe you guys a Balls Deep in your home sys, we just couldn't get your system no matter how much we cycled Oops

I spoke to Ayeson of Hard Knock afterwards and we had a nice wee chat about the smacking etc. He agreed that naming Pos after recent tragedies is low blow and promised to make their member change the name.
Which was cool and made us realise they aren't the A..holes that we had got the impression they were. Except for one individual of course. Exit was arranged for survivors in true WH style and GF's was had in local.

The bubbles only really let us know that you knew we were there tbh it wasn't a clever move, no offence Cool

Well, little to add to what Sandslinger wrote.

That Moros was me, and I indeed had little sleep. While you collapsed the first hole I saw that it took you significantly more time to scan. So for the next hole I played a risk to break it and get away before you come to get some time. And I was like 5 seconds late to warp out.

Stupid insane risk is the back side of the coin of "don't risk too much, usually".

In case you are interested. Some 9 capitals we initially had in your system were brought in using your k-space connections only. When possible - through the time-critted holes.

I've quite enjoyed reading the BR from NoHo's perspective. Here's a BR from AQUILA's perspective. I apologize in advance for the wall of text. Smile

AQUILA got word that Hard Knocks was being invaded by W-Space/NoHo late Friday night. After a bit of discussion it was decided that we would come and try to help. Hard Knocks planned to gain hole control while most of the invaders were sleeping. We jokingly strategized that if they failed we would chain collapse into them. Funnily enough, our first reroll led into HRDKX's home. Shocked We were a bit unprepared, so only ~6 guys (and a few alts) made it into the hole before they collapsed the hole.

HRDKX made a move a few hrs later and gained hole control. They also killed a hostile Moros in the process (which AQUILA guys had to miss in order to hide our involvement so far Sad). Despite gaining hole control, HRDKX weren't able to bring in anymore backup since all their allies were fast asleep. Roll The next morning, the invaders regained hole control, and made sure to keep the system locked down tightly. The timers on the towers still had a good 8 hrs left on them, so both AQUILA and V0LTA began chain collapsing from their respective holes. V0LTA soon opened up into AQUILA, so they joined us in our system.

Somehow the invaders got word that HRDKX had batphoned us and they asked us to stay out of it. When they realized we were determined, they batphoned AHARM. We watched as a decently sized AHARM T3 fleet made its way into the system, but there was nothing we could do except continue to collapse. We decided to also batphone FCFTW and KILL, and they started chain collapsing for HRDKX's system as well. KILL opened up into AQUILA's hole not long afterward, so they joined us in our system.

Our large number of reinforcements in AQUILA's home weren't making any headway, and HRDKX guys were starting to sound desperate. The first HRDKX's tower was about to come out of RF, and we realized we had to do something soon. HRDKX (plus the few AQUILA guys stuck with them) decided we had to make a rush for hole control. We were sure it was going to be a suicidal move, but after almost 8 hrs of chain collapsing we decided that a surprise rush might be the only way to stage a comeback.

Literally 5 min before this rush was going to happen, SSC opened up into HRDKX's home system.Shocked We quickly moved to take a defensive position on the hole, and SSC came in to bolster our numbers. They brought in a mostly subcap fleet with 2 Moros dreads. The invaders were definitely surprised, but if they'd engaged at this point the battle might've gone very differently. We outnumbered them in caps, but they still had a decent subcap advantage, and we immediately moved to bring in our reinforcements.

The new fleet consisting of HRDKX, SSC, and a few AQUILA moved to the system's static. At the same time the fleet in AQUILA's home started speed scanning for k-space exits. In about 15 min they had a 20+ wh chain scanned down. We found a nullsec connection only 11 jumps between the two chains, so VoC+KILL moved out to join us quickly. As this was happening, W-Space/NoHo/AHARM started gathering every last man. They bounced off a planet and came in at range, their fleet numbering around 100. Without our backup we outnumbered them in caps quite heavily, but they still had the subcap advantage.

Just as our backup joined our comms the TS channel suddenly died. At first we thought we were being hacked, but someone quickly realized that the channel automatically muted everyone if it had over 100 members. We split comms with capital ships and lokis in one channel, and all other ships in another channel. And it was just in the nick of time.

Just as the hostile fleet warped down on top of us we regained our comms discipline and our backup arrived in the static. Our assigned FCs in both channels start calling primaries and we call our backup through. With our bolstered numbers we now had the capital and subcap advantage. At this point that battle was essentially decided, but it was still crazy how the tables had turned in a matter of minutes.

This.

The only reason the OP was organized was total lack of respect from the Hard Knocks to all the rest of the people inhabiting wormholes. It is heavily believed by many people that smacktalking in local should stay in nulls, while wormhole players should have a little more respect to each other.

Buy a internet spaceships monocle, then maybe people will respect you in your mighty internet spaceship. You should be able to afford it as a great wormhole space player unlike the peasants in null.

Seems to be a lot of mis-understanding of the smacktalk issue - theres smacktalking and then theres the odd person who feels the need to be extremely abusive and personal with the intention to cause hurt rather than discomfort or banter - stuff that isn't so outright offensive in itself necessarily that it can be petitioned.

There aren't people who are trying to be smacktalk police :P at the end of the day if your not a little thick skinned you won't last long in wormhole space but there is a line theres no need to cross in an online game.
