pls. remove local from the low and null sec. only list/show players when they say something or if they are in same fleet/corp/alliance

in simple terms it ruins the immersion

Whine whine, ***** *****, get out.

When Bon Scott died and he appeared before St. Peter at the gates of Heaven, St. Peter looked at his record and told him he couldn't get in. Just then, God screams at Peter, "Let him in, Karen Carpenter is driving me nuts. I want to hear some music with balls. We'll haggle over the paperwork later." At least I hope that's what happened.

No, it is a silly idea. Especially in low-sec where you have no basis for an argument at all.

Agree.

Get rid of Local? Ridiculous.

Give a man a match and you warm him for a day.

Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life!

so you guys are saying is that you want everything handed out on a silver plate with cherry on top?

what?!

you afraid to miss out on a opportunity when you camping gate?

afraid that someone will ruin your day when they enter wormhole and you can't see them?

you feel threaten in case large fleet warps in to ruin your day on the other side?

or afk mining would about to go wrong, which one is it? pick you're poison.

do I smell carebears afraid to loose their pretty pixels?

give me good reason to stfu

you should have to DSCAN for any local entities to show.

You don't see them, they don't see you.

You see them, they see you.

Will increase use of DSCAN and allow those that want to remain hidden, hidden.

This feature only increases ganking, not pvp, nor better...

You can still kill afkers or ratters with local if you wait enough

You have a space called "WH Space" where there is "no-local", try your desired tactics there, its awesome

TL:DR Dont touch LowSec or NullSec

I will always love LowSec

Oh man, what a new and novel idea.

Seriously though, what is everyone's fixation with removing local from LS? I can understand w-space 100%, and to an extent I could understand nullsec, but a place which has security and empire control should have a local chat - which lowsec has.

The no local feature is great in wormhole. It works fine cause WH are single system in some way "closed".

In Low and Null removing the local would simpy result in people almost never meeting. So wouldnt be more dangerous or risky, on the countrary: would be far more safe to travel and oeprate there, since you don't need to scan to find stations and gates :)

Lo Sec is the first step OUT of High Sec. If your concern is immersion, you need players to go there in steps.

The general Idea is:
Hi-sec
Low-sec
Null-sec
WH

If you think that local chat affects immersion, you are wrong.

They will still see the gate flash and you will still get ganked. No local would just lead to perma camped gates.

What did you lose that has made you so mad at local?

This is such a fail idea that you didn't even post it with your main.

ok than.. seeing as nearly every poster disagrees with the idea lets try reverse engineering

what would you guys do to improve this and create more immerse feeling?

Can't just say its fine as or working as intended, thats just too easy.

Because obviously there is no magic unicorn in dead space and reveals every player as soon as they hop on the other side of the gate swings a magic horn and poof here you are in the locals.

Come on guys bring that intellectual wraith inside you and post some creativity

Fraid I am an unimaginative soul and see little merit in OP’s not-original request. I think that if OP is so desirous of no-local eve play then it’s much more appropriate for him to move to w-space than to whine-change the entire game dynamic of lowsec / nullsec to suit himself.

I lived for a couple of years in w-space before moving to nullsec. While I do see local as being cruisy mode, a real gem, I also see it as an entirely reasonable part of the greater hi-hi-sec, low-hi-sec, lowsec, nullsec, w-space progression continuum. Moving from w-space to nullsec, and finding a realtime ‘local’, is a bit like moving from nullsec to lowsec and suddenly feeling entirely safe warping directly from gate to gate … it’s just part of that continuum. A very reasonable part IMHO.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Ok - I'll think outside the square and give an excellent answer that fixes the issue you have with those annoying people that keep appearing in YOUR multiplayer game.

Here it is -
Instead of removing local you could find an empty system.
Problem solved.

There should be a local in low and null sec because the gates 'remember' who's come and gone.

Having said that, covert cynos should allow you into a system without being registered in local. Now that's a feature.
