*holds his hands up* Whoa, I'm not a diplomat! I'm simply accepting that there are likely to be issues getting the Gallente to completely sign off on handing back Caldari Prime when it lies in their home system. I'd prefer a complete hand-off to a conglomerate of Corporations too, but I'd be willing to accept Corporate control of Caldari enclaves on the planet and joint administration of Orbital space as a good starting point.

I think the sentiment of the Caldari people, the Caldari State, and the Caldari Megacorporations is fairly clear: it's our planet, it was always rightfully our planet, and if the Gallente disagree, then they will find out what it is like for both Caldari and Gallente Prime to be rendered permanently uninhabitable.

Even the liberals among us have no intention of ceding an acre of Caldari Prime back to the Federation.

Genocide and planetary desolation if you can't have your way?

My, that sounds distinctly familiar...

Last time you knucle dragging, blind faith idiots all collectively had a knee jerk reaction you got a forklift driver appointed to run the Caldari State. Please don't and think for more than the 15 seconds of your average attention span.

Oooh, is this the bit where Diana Kim quotes that Gallente Admiral to hurl that right back at you ?

You know, this quote:
"They seek to fragment the Federation for their own selfish pride. Take their planet, strangle it and let's see how proud they stand after."
- Vice Admiral Eisen Piroit, Addressing the Senate. CE 23154.11.28

That was precisely my point. I can hardly be blamed if it sailed over your head as I expect it to sail over hers.

There are many points that could be made. Perhaps you're making the point that the Caldari have learned nothing from the 1st Bombardment of Caldari Prime, if they would think to bombard Gallente Prime ?

But I just wanted to see if Diana Kim was going to go apoplectic with rage, it's so entertaining.

as i recall climate of Caldari prime tended to cool heads of those such as Diana as do certain colder areas of Achur. i find ms. Diana's call to arms towards Gallente not only lack of forethought but completely idiotic as well, we have no evidence that the assassin was of Gallente origin much less working under orders from one of those ever so busy black-ops teams they are so fond of. i suspect that me and few others might be on waiting stance if there's evidence of Gallente or some other party's participation to assassination of Tibus Heth i am more than willing to take part in the following retribution plan.

i rather not trash about with a sword like ms. Diana has habit of doing, rather i'd take a dagger to my enemies throat and end their miserable existence slowly and painfully.

ill wait CEP's statement before making a decision on the matter i'd advise ms. Diana to do the same.

Unfortunately, your gallentean practices are not applicable to just anyone. Especially to me. However, I wouldn't stop you from doing searches and looking in your mirror, disregarding how ridiculous your habits are, I don't mind you doing them. But when you bring your sh... stuff to us, either this, or your stupid democracy, criminal freedoms and egocentric hedonism, your nose will have a short, but memorable meeting with our boots.
And have a nice jam.

And you can have your used gallentish vans too.

Yeah, except that I'm Matarri, and no fan of the Gallente "culture."

I'm what you might call a Patriot, but not insane. Nonetheless, there is a point from which a nation should not retreat. This entire war, indeed, our entire history of hostility with the Federation, is centered on the rights we claim to our homeworld. No reasonable Gallente would accept Gallente Prime being under Caldari occupation - all we claim are reciprocal rights, rights which the Gallente Federation has repeatedly denied.

We now own Caldari Prime, by right of ancestral claim and by conquest. It could have been negotiated, but the Federation refused any compromise, even though the State has never altered its claim to our homeworld. The unfairness of this is manifest by the following questions:

If the Minmatar occupied Amarr Prime, would not the Amarr demand it back?
If the Caldari occupied Gallente Prime, would not the Federation demand it back?
If the Amarr occupied Pator, would not the Minmatar demand it back?

But in this one circumstance, this one event, the Gallente Federation declares that it is an exception to all principles of fairness, of justice, and reason. This is a failing on their part. It doesn't matter how foul Heth might be, or how much they may dislike Caldari culture, here, the Federation is willfully blind to the rights of others.

And they have been so, to such an extent, that the only weapon we can use to ensure recognition of our right is a different sort of reciprocity - that of mutually assured destruction. If you will not recognize our rights, we will not recognize yours. Try to take our homeworld, and we will take yours. Bombard our populations - as you did! - and we will hold plasma cannons over yours. Now we may force you to be sane, and we are doing so.

This entire war - the entire conflict - boils down to Caldari Prime, both as symbol and substance. And, as such, it is entirely within the Federation's call as to when the war ends. It ends when the Federation recognizes the right of the State to secede and to possess its own worlds. The Federation has never accepted that, and until they do, there will be conflict.

Pilot Vikarion the situation with the Caldari and Gallente is unique in that your home worlds inhabit the same system. You are celestial neighbors and share the history of founding the Federation together. Were the situations reversed how would the Caldari feel about having the Gallente appropriate a planet in the New Caldari system by force and park an Erebus and its doomsday device above it?

I have a counter-proposition.
Take over whole Luminaire and Algogille systems for the State, and to prevent any gallentean ideas to take them back, render all gallentean planets in Algogille and Luminaire inhabitable. Well, and leave Caldari Prime intact of course.
And if they still will want to fight, bomb Villore as well.

If she'd done even a smidgeon of research beforehand she'd know that there aren't any habitable planets in Algogille in the first place.

But this is Diana Kim's world, where facts and truth are neither neccessary or welcome.
