Issues, Workarounds & Localization

I have an issue, and questions about it.
I sold a character on another account and the character is now in transfer. As a result the website gives me errors when I try to login. The error seems to be the result that I was last logged on the website in with the character that is now being transferred.
Questions:
- will this problem be resolved when the transfer is complete (can I log in when I longer posses the default character)?
- is there a workaround?
Edit: I just hope the workaround doesn't imply removing all settings and cookies, in which case you might want to add a small warning in the head topic for the character bazar not to set the transfer in motion while the character is set default for the website)
