Forget Mars, NASA Probe Finds Ice and Organics on Mercury!

Yes, ice on the planet closest to the sun. I don't think anyone expected that, but since we're finding ice everywhere else why the hell not. Also intriguing is this mention of 'unknown organic material'. Could it be some of that elusive space mold which has been haunting NASA? P

That feel when you honestly dismissed Mercury and Venus when 10 years old as bio matter reserves. Ugh

I dont get it, since years here some news like water discovered in moon, while some impact - explosion test, a moon eject masive cloud of water or fog with water molecules, and NASA observe this by using radio telescope or somthing that see particle, next, ice or water in Mars pole... Ice in one of saturn moon, Ice in comets etc, at last ice on comets are fact, because they melted and lose some mass while near hot obiect etc, but all other news...

Looks like everything in space is filed with water since humanity observe space, but in general here no solid prof about water...

Ps. To OP, i like news like this, but i wait until UFO land on EarthBig smile

They found signs of important Amino Acids and similar organic chemistry just floating in the dust/gas of space, so finding it elsewhere shouldn't be too much of a shock.

During the early bombardment peiod trillions of tons of rock and/or ice smashed into planets and thier moons, so finding ice most places shouldn't be too much of a shock either.

I believe the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter is the remains of a planet, and the event which destroyed it caused most of the debris which impacted other things.

But yeah, panspermia goes a long way towards explaining how life and water may travel from place to place. All comets are ice, after all.
