Hello everybody! I wont lie and say i'm not ashamed that my first post/thread will be a question =)

I'm on Day 10 or 11 now and subbed a few days ago. I used to play years and years ago as a miner turned pirate. But i've never did a mission in my life.

Right now i'm doing 1-2 (L1)missions (security) at a time with an Amarr Destroyer and i'm killing targets faster then I can target them and only rarely will I have to actually tank. (missions with 3 other destroyers +frigates) My question is, what ships should I be flying for the different tier agents?

Once I achieve L4 I hope to join a Merc corp, or whoever is fighting the biggest alliance out there.

I appreciate any answers and look forward to eventually being podded with a small chance of payback.

For basic T1 ships, here's the general progression:
L1: Frigs/destroyers
L2: Destroyers/Cruisers
L3: Battlecruisers
L4: Battleships

There are exceptions to this, especially when you get to T2 ships (like AFs running L4 missions), but those are the general rule of thumb.

Cruisers can run L3s if you have good skills and T2 med weapons...but still why not get a BC. Lvl 1-2 it honestly doesnt matter they are a joke. I did l2s in a rifter for fun once

A two-week old player doesn't have the skills or ISK for a Tengu. Read the question first, before posting stupid nonsense.

You need to go back & read OP's full post. He is not new, just returning to game from a break. So at this point without a link to his skills, YOU & me know nothing about what he can & cannot fly.

My answer is very simple, one ship can do all missions very easy & fast.

Actually I did read the full post. Having played for 10-11 days and only subscribed a few days ago implies that he made a new account to start fresh or due to not remembering the login for the old char. Furthermore, his character is currently 16 days old. It helps if you stop and think about what is said logically.

While the destroyer is working for you now, you may get some level 2s that it will not do well in. Angel and gurista rats can present problems for lasers.

I suggest that you train an Arbitrator and drone skills. Drone sp will not be wasted on whatever ship you end up using in the future (except a Tengu which makes me barf). You can put the drones on aggressive and pretty much warp in release drones, tank, mission done, next mission, as long as you manage aggro and are careful of respawns. If the mission has multiple respawns then slow down and use the drones on passive and target things. Tech II drones are great killers for missions especially on a ship with a drone bonus.

A passive shield arby against kinetic and explo rats can run some level 3s. However, you will probably want a BC, namely a Harbinger, which slices through em weak rats (blood raiders, sansha, and rogue drones) very well. Put beams on it. The only time I would use pulses is if you have tech II pulses, and even then I would rather use beams in missions to kill stuff as far away as possible.

Lili Lu thank you for the information =) It has been a great help after my super super long break.

I also found the cat fight interesting.
