I can't stand "The Mittani", and why I believe Alex the man should be in CSM again.

I love all the brazen ignorance people have, because surely they have NEVER had entirely too much to drink and said something regrettable.

I doubt all these neckbeards in eve actually talk to people in real life.

I can't say I've ever encouraged a group of people to harass a person with the intent of that person committing suicide, then proceed to blaming my words on intoxication. I can't say that I've ever said anything drunk or sober that bares even some semblance to what was said.

I can't say I know anyone that has ever said anything along the lines of: Hey let's get together and end someone's life, just because they were drunk.

I'm sure both individuals and CCP has learnt a lot from the episode and the fall out. Maybe there will be a drinking embargo on the invited speakers?

I do doubt the sincerity of anyone who says they're going to commit suicide, as it's the quiet ones that are the most likely to carry out their act leaving only a letter. This isn't to say such comments shouldn't be acted upon as it is nevertheless a cry for help.

I trust the individual received and is receiving that help from professional people.

All parties have some degree of responsibility for their own actions and that is life. Do you think anyone will act exactly the same way ever again?

Its time to stand up against the bad empire based CEO telling falsehoods about what new characters can accomplish and pushing them towards an in game experience of drudgery and loneliness keeping them in the shadow of ignorance for at nest their own profit at worse apathy towards all the experiences that Eve has to offer.

I did stand back while drunk and watch a friend hit on a fat chick and try to get with her, without warning him or trying to stop him.

So am I kind of like the mittani?

But if you can be a sociopath in game behind an avatar and act like a douche bag in front of an audience with beer in your blood stream - isn't it just a matter of degrees?

Of course a sociopath is a human being without emotional empathy so wouldn't get the alcoholic requirement to drop the mask(s), nor would they appreciate an ingame avatar as they're ALWAYS wearing a mask just to fit in to daily live.

Dexter is cool, much better than that Saw guy.

If anything this incident should have been a glimpse into his true personality.

"....mental health issues... (I work in the industry)."
"industry", is that what they call it now ?

He has never had the best interest of the game at heart.
For the OP to believe so is delusional and perhaps indicating the need for help from their own "industry"

Haha Big smile Anyone who is willing to tolerate running for CSM, and then REMAIN AN ACTIVE MEMBER of said council has the game's best interest at heart. Maybe not your personal best interest, but that is something else. The people who do not have the game's best interest at heart are those who campaign their way to a CSM seat and then drop off the face of the earth entirely after the campaign is over.

The fact that he was willing to do so twice speaks volumes about how much crap he was willing to put up with having to deal with catching blame for "this sucks" "The CSM is useless/ a CCP propaganda mouthpiece" or whatever stupid drivel passes for intelligent discussion in Jita Park.

E: I am not trolling you, seriously, being on the CSM seems like a thankless job, it takes a special kind of person to want to work for CCP for free basically, and catch hell for things they cannot control from the playerbase.

Drunk too much? Check, been there done that far too many times

Said something regrettable? Yah, afraid so.

Done both of the above during a broadcast to thousands with the intent of encouraging someone to commit suicide IRL? HELL NO!!!!!

The Mittani's credibility of being an effective elected member of the CSM was shredded, by his own actions, at last years fan fest. In the words of your inglorious leader "~deal with it~".
