Tibus Heth Assasination News Article

Most interesting was the Gutter Press media stating that new cloaking modules allowed Caldari Navy vessels to cloak whilst locked

Link to that 'cloak while locked' article?

If I had to bet, I would say that Tibus won't come back alive. Does this have anything to do with that Serpentis live event?

Treacherous Gallente cowards!!!

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

Any bets on the identity of the:
Quote:
It is unknown at this time whether they have had any success in apprehending the perpetrator, though a number of eyewitness reports indicate a confrontation later took place between Provists and an unidentified robed figure, who apparently dispatched over a dozen guards in armed and hand-to-hand combat before being overpowered and dragged away.

There was the outrageous Tibus Heth = Enemy Number One posting by Muck Raker not so long ago:

Strix pilot names Tibus Heth Enemy Number One.

==================================
Possible Spoiler Alert from the books: Empyrean Age and Templar One... but seriously you need to read them..
==================================

I'm curious to who would benefit from this within the State?

Kaalakiota's former CEO, Haatakan Oiritsuu, would certainly benefit. Executor Heth has kept her away from politics and general events and now this may finally backfire on him. This event may allow her to regain her majority shares in KK and remove the issue of a dictator influencing the entire State.

Ishukone would benefit from the death of Heth, however an attempt "on their behalf" was already withdraw/foiled. I doubt they've attempted it again.

Another (much weaker) theory is that perhaps this was his own idea. We as players all know he's secretly suffering from Derj's disease. Though his case was deemed less likely to be fatal as he was only in stage 3 and has access to some great medicine, what if it had progressed? This could be his way of making a profound impact on his way out.

If you read the story "Operation Yomir: The Journal" you will find out why the assassination attempt was made. Draw any conclusions you want but the Executor has had back-door dealings with CONCORD and is a very shady character. Once you realize the underlying cause after reading "Operation Yomir: The Journal", you will have a better understanding as to why they want him dead.

NG.

*Edit*

The story is on the contest page.

Heroes die a lot, they just tend to remain more... In our memories Roll

====MINOR SPOILER ALERT TEMPLAR ONE====

I'm not sure I understand the implication? CONCORD were the ones who prevented Tibus Heth's first assassination attempt.

CONCORD has grown tired of being blackmailed. Tibus has held that journal over their heads for awhile now.
