Hello,

I'm a new eve player, currently trying to learn the ropes of probing in H-sec (I completed the tutorials and currently working on the sisters of eve epic arc), and I had the opportunity to pinpoint quite a lot of WH (and to visit them, though I did not stay very long in those).

Then, I saw that corporations were living in WH space, but that a massive amount of skills point was a plus in order to start being able to fight in PVE. I also read on your website that you were not necessarily against the recruitment of new players (even though it was for support roles at the beginning).

So, as I'm looking for a corporation and living in WH space sounds like lots of fun, I'd like to join your alliance. However, I'm a total beginner (11 days old player and around 450 000 skills point), but would be ok to play supportive roles until being able to pilot effectively bigger ships (I'm currently leveling the pre req skills found on your website).

Which lead me to my question : should I get into contact with your recruiters on your recruitment channel even though I'm a total newbie?

Thank you in advance for your answer.

Feel free to drop by our public channel and hang out, but keep in mind that you probably won't be attractive to any of our corps without a month of focused skill training, in specific skills wormhole space requires.

Still, hope to see you around!

I've sent in an application. Haven't heard back for a week.
Contacted a CEO of a corp that I think suits me, no replies for a couple of days.

When should I just move on?
Will I get a mail saying I am not suited for Talocan United?

Cheers.

Your application was posted, but there does not seem to be any interest in it at this time. It doesn't mean you aren't a good pilot; it just means we have limited space and others have attracted our attention first.

Instead of twiddling your thumbs, I'd suggest checking out other solid alliances like Transmission Lost as well. Smile

Yeh I also applied probably about a week ago, spoke to the CEO of one of the corps and said I was interested, nothing back yet. Guess they are being very selective ;)

Hey,

Might I ask what would be the typical profile of the accepted pilot in one of the corp alliance?

I've joined the channel and an useful chap told me to work on a 40 days or so specialized skill plan in order to perhaps eventually someday be of some use to some WH corp. However, if you have such a high influx of application, I'm starting to think that odds are not really in my favor (as a new player).

My motivation remains the same but specialized skill plan is specialized so I'd rather not throw skill points out of the window...

Thanks (again) in advance for your answer

Your character is roughly two weeks old. Wormholes are considered a high-sp environment, and you really won't be considered if you're less than a month old, simply because it's impossible to have what you need in under a month.

You'll need a battlecruiser with either T2 shields or armor, though we prefer armor. You'll also need good scanning skills, and Covert Ops are highly appreciated.

Thank you for these details,

Please note I was asking these question because I don't really want to go leech in a corporation while skilling up to meet WH requirements.
