Edit: WAIT - Maybe there is a good use for Microjumpdrives! Does this mean they allow us to evade Concord as well? Cause that would rule.....at least for a little while.

They won't actually allow you to evade the law in space (earth police are slightly less equipped to deal with our technology)...although they may allow you to evade the consequences about to be bestowed upon you by a fellow player ;)

Said that, I also realize that we are getting a sequel of videos where we see less and less actual EvE content added, less EvE stuff to show off.

I might have preferred a 3 minutes trailer showing new 0.0 features, WH concept expansion and so on instead of a longer video where all we see being done were adding 3 icons, 1 drone and 1 frigate.

I can see the whole "backend" big refactorings etc. etc. but those are not what "hits" the players fantasy, the players will to resub and discover EvE's new stuff. There's no "grand Far West / space fiction feeling" in 3 icons and 1 salvage drone.

Great video, loved it! :-)

What I liked most is that you included the ingame UI changes in the video so people can experience it already. E.g. the flag counters were decreasing during the video and each time Guard shot they were refreshed (including a small increase in size as to grab the users attention). This is a good idea and should be kept in future dev vlogs, though it is probably much more work then just going through the office and showing the UI changes on some dev's computer screen.

Perhaps Retribution is the start of the end of EVE.

Here's how I interpret the new bounty hunting system:

You place a bounty on someone - anyone - perhaps a guy that accidently bumped you. The same second you've placed your bounty on the pilot, he/she is a valid target for anyone to shoot and kill.

Or lets say you just scanned another pilots ship and you like the contents of his ship. So you place a bounty on him and now you're free to shoot him down and take whatever modules survive.

Or you place a bounty on a corporation or perhaps an alliance - just because you think they have stupid names or come from a certain country. No more wardec. Bounty on and kill for free.

Is this how it's ment to be? Because if this is the case, CCP has just ruined EVE for everyone.

I hope you guys have thought this through.

Absolutely LOVED the fact that this video was part of a concurrent "CCP Guard's life revolving round a drain" storyline. Yeahhh that sounded harsh, but he started off so well! Once he got drunk after not being invited to that fan thingie, he just seemed to have lost it.

Laughed my head off the whole way through. Had to wipe some spit off my monitor at work when the man exploded in the background - was asked by my manager to stfu. Good times. The blend of amazingly funny writing and then chilled-out "this is what we are doing @ CCP" stuff was great, though i almost swallowed my teeth when Guard pointed the gun at his own face.

Can't wait to see the next episode of CCP Guard's breakdown ;D

Are you serious, the MJD is such a bad thing and not remotely funny, at least if it can only be deactivated with a scrambler.

If the local changed to the thing you want it to be, people will even cry more but those who propose that stuff are always those who hunt down their targets. I should be supporting it aswell but it always works in both ways.

0.0 fix .. yeah, thats very precise. again i think there is tons of cash floating around and not much fixing needed.

Logistic nerf .. again a wish of someone who never cared about that stuff and likes to hunt down stuff. My regards to every logistic guy out there, its a pain in the ass. If any logistic needs to be nerfed its the ship. Repping someone? Allowed to dock or jump in 1 minute.

Your pvp improvements are pretty **** tbh, it would totally kill small gang/solo pvp and one single pilot would be able to pin down a target forever. Have fun with whatever ship you are flying.



I seriously get the impression you want easy ganks where your pray doesnt even have a chance to prevent to be ganked since he cant run nor can see whats waiting for him, more logistics en route while making easy cash in your 0.0.

You guys remember how you added a third turret hardpoint to the Atron didn't add the actual third turret visual?

Will we be seeing that on this expansion, or sometime soon at least?

"Blockade Runners are now immune to cargo scanners."

Ahahahaha. Ahahahaaa. As if the new flags system didn't make suicide ganking freighters highly impractical (when your neutral hauler scoops the loot, your neutral hauler is fair game for anyone to shoot, because he stole the loot), as well as can flipping wont work anymore considering ANYONE will be able to shoot them, so people will start to smarten up,

but now we have a second ship, other than the orca, where we can safely transport bpos, plex, etc, without being scannable.

Let the suicide ganker rage commence.



"The text description to Triage Modules has been updated to clarify that they are subject to a stacking penalty."

This DIRECTLY implies that you will be able to fit multiple triage modules. Do I hear archons with 2 triage modules, running 100k dps tanks, and remote energy transferring for ungodly amounts of cap? What about a triple triage archon, with 2 cap transfers, spitting out ~11000 cap per transfer, with a 1 second cycle time. At 22,000 cap transferred per second, capping up titans and supercarriers will be a joke. Pos repping and station repping will also be EXTREMELY fast with double/triple triage carriers running all cap rechargers/CCCs/Cap power relays and running 2-3 reps.

Has a new age begun, with a (stealthy) change, or did someone word something terribly?

Apparently dropping a probe, jumping through a gate, and bubbling the other side, with a single dictor, wasn't such a bad thing afterall, and CCP has revised their position on this.

Double bubble dictor pilots, rejoice. (Or, you 'bubble, jump and flee' scaredy-dictors)


"Suspect acts: ■ Illegally attacking another player’s ship (but not capsule) in low sec."

You can now shoot a ship in lowsec, but not a pod, wait 60 seconds on your weapon cooldown, then jump to highsec, without getting concorded.

Alcoholic pirates (and people with goldfish attention spans) rejoice.



"Sentry guns will no longer attack drones, only ships"

Ishtar, 3-4 drone links, drone damage amps, shield tank. Deploy sentries on gate, set to assist someone, sit 100km off gate.

Hostile jumps in, tackler tackles, all sentries attack. Tackler takes gate guns. When gate guns swap to ishtar, ishtar warps from spot 100km above gate, to 100km below gate. All gate guns now stop firing, and since drones are already delegated, ishtar has wiped gate gun aggro, and is fully reset for damage. Tackler can simply warp 200km off the gate, and back, and is also reset.

A new era of lowsec gate camping? Snipers can also simply warp between snipe points to reset and have gate guns stop shooting them.


"Sentry guns will only respond to anyone who incurs a security status penalty in their vicinity.
◦ A character with sentry aggression that leaves the vicinity (by warping away) and then returns will no longer be considered a target for sentry guns, unless he commits another illegal attack."


Sniper tornado sits 100km above gate. 2 Tackle proteus sit on the gate. Megathron jumps in. First Proteus tackles Megathron, Tornado starts shooting. Second proteus tackles, First proteus warps off 150km, tornado warps to second snipe spot, and starts shooting. Gate guns will no longer aggress him, as he does not take an additional sec hit for shooting the same target within such a short timespan (afaik?). First proteus now warps back, tackles megathron, but no longer has gate guns on him, like the tornado. Second proteus warps off, and now the tornado and proteus can fight the megathron without gate guns firing on them, even though they may be -10, aggressed first, and fight on the gate. May sound complex, but it's really quite simple. Shoot, warp to ongrid safe, then back, or to alternative snipe point, and gate guns won't shoot you anymore.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but basically, CCP has enabled sentry gun damage dumping.


To think we all thought the ship rebalance, and new tech 1 support cruisers were a big deal, look at this insanity being thrown on our plate.Twisted

Except there are tons and tons and tons of blockade runners out there. And will be even more. Considering the effort of looting the wreck, do you think many people will really be gambling on them? As for the plex and bpo in orcas, are they making cargo scanners hit corp hangars? that's much interesting.

But yes, I think I shall start afking a crane about regularly, just to see if anyone does want to shoot for the chance xD
