How about a series or collection of sketches starting with 'Frigate Wars' going all the way up to 'Clash of the Titans'?

Each sketch would basically showcase the ship class of the 4 main Factions in battle.

Like starting with Frigate Wars, showing all the different Frigates engaged in battle. Could even have it split up into 2 fleets to show allied Factions. Could even expand that to incorporate multiple separate little scenes within the entire sketch, such as for example a Caldari Frigate being chased and shot at by Minmatar and Gallente Frigates being followed by an Amarr Frigate chasing and shooting them.

The background could have a Nebula partly showing in the corner with a Planet/Moon partly showing in the foreground. Could even have the battle basically happening around a station or stargate. Of course each sketch would also showcase a different space location, meaning Nebula, Planet, station, etc.

Naturally different color's would be great but when you say sketch, I'm thinking you're talking about one color. Also the amount of detail going into the sketch would be dictated by the type of medium you're using. Pencil would be very detailed while chalk would be very limited.

Anyway, then the next sketch in the series would showcase Destroyers, the next one would be Cruisers, etc.

Well, that's my 2 ISK worth, hope you understand the idea and good luck to you.

I have issues with eve forums keeps saying "we are ganked"

first sketch is of the drone floating in space.

second sketch is what another capsuler describing,(cant remember and can't quote since site keeps getting ganked) I had time to do laundry today so thats when I sketched the second drawing.

Also, DeMichael Crimson, I like you idea, but it is difficult to remember which each frigate looks like when you are
on the go. (Long story short; Military in the field) I will try to do a Punisher VS X Frigate. I don't have my drawing
tablet on me, so everything has to be done via analog(pen and paper), I can probably locate some highlighters to add color. On the second picture I was having many pen malfunctions. If anyone draws with pen they understand there are different types
and quality of pens. All my pens decided to not dispense ink in the proper proportion required.

Yeah, the 'We Got Ganked' message always seems to happen whenever there's a new expansion on the way.

As for the medium you're using to sketch with, pencil would actually be better. You can incorporate varied amounts of pressure to darken various aspects of the sketch to provide a bit of color / lighting effects. Also by rubbing or smudging the pencil lead after it's been applied on the sketch pad does a good job of shading / shadow effect.

I used to do sketching with a #2 pencil, after I had it completed, I would use a fine tip marker to go back over the outlines, then fill in the open areas with colored pencils, using the various techniques I already mentioned for shading / texture.

As for my idea, it was mainly food for thought. I know it would be more of a long term project, definitely not something to be completed within 5 minutes. Now about the various ships, I'm not sure but I think there's a CCP poster available online that show's all of the different ships in Eve. If not, hopefully there are plenty of still shots available somewhere.

also DMC, I prefer using pen over pencil for the fact it rarely smudges. I used to draw with alot of pencil. You are right tho pencil is alot better to sketch with.
