My bestest bro, CCP Navigator, has things to say about the status of the community team and the road ahead. Please check out his dev blog here.

We are still here for you.

We all <3 all the community folks. I am worried about the reduction in numbers with an increase in duties though.

Guard/Navigator, please ensure that your team is all on twitter for the #tweetfleet, and that you get a twitter client on those work PCs. Those of us tied into it all day long have noticed the absences already :(

Thank you for this devlog, it's precisely the piece we were missing a few days ago.

So yes, while it's sad that people were let go, at least now I understand what you have done.

Loving the flow of dev blogs and increased blue flags in the forums...

Keep up the good work :)

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

I second this. Twitter for customer relations. I look forward to bugging, err... making friends with our new community partners.

This new fancy technology takes time to get used to *grumble grumble* but I'm on #tweetfleet and the client is running whenever I'm at the computer. Smile

Is there going to be any refocusing on player events from within this new team?

Oh, and be sure to follow us on twitter too. I know some of us don't always use the #tweetfleet search to follow the conversation all the time.

I only have 207 followers so far. Still a bit of a Twitter noob but I'm getting there. Tell everyone to add me... ccp_guard

Thanks for the update. I look forward to seeing how these (rather sad) changes will unravel with regards to 2 way communications.

What's Twitter? Twisted Also, it's nice to have explanations on why certain things are happening. Sure, it's sad to see well people liked people let go, but sometimes that is a necessary evil when you are trying to improve things. Good luck to those whom were let go, and to the newly reorganized community team. Hope all goes well for everyone. Smile

Wouldn't you do the same in their shoes? Refocusing = consolidating resources. I'm sure nobody is happy about having to make cuts, but they are making logical adjustments in order to achieve new goals.

Grats CCP
Once again, sad that people had to be laid off

However, i do hope you will overcome this temporary low.
If you keep focusing at your community you will be rewarded
and in the end i am sure that it will open new doors for you.

The plans you have shared with us recently had a lot of positive
feedback from fans, and once again you have our full attention.
We are waiting for you, keep going

Regards
