What tier 2 to go for next

I'm currently Gallente focused and can fly the tech 2 frigates, but I can't decide which of the following to train next:

Destroyers 5 or Cruisers 5 or B-Cruiser 5 or Battleship 5

Most of my time on this character is spent Mission Running (my alt mines and refines loot trash) so I figured it'd make sense to work on getting into that Kronos...maybe...but what I really want to start visiting more places in the galaxy and for that I figured I'd use something more expendable, but still versatile, like a Vexor...but then I was thinking the Myrm would be better since with Salvage drones coming I could really do a lot with that ship...but it doesn't have a tech 2 version so...maybe I should do destroyers cause their fast and I could focus on sneaking into nullsec to salvage rats and run back to hisec???Ugh

I'm so indecisive and with cruisers and up being 24-32 days of training I really want to make a good choice.

Any input on which tier to go to next is welcome Smile

From a purely long-term viewpoint, BC is about to get split into 4 separate racial skills in 4 or 5 months. So grabbing BC V and then Cruisers III for all the races will save you the most training time in the long term if you ever want to fly the other racial BCs.

If you don't care about that, cruisers. Gallente T2 cruisers are fun to fly, whereas T2 BCs are kinda boring (T1 BCs with V in the skill are still awesome, though).

Short-term, same thing applies to destroyers. However, it's possible the patch comes next week, so you might not have time to get Destroyer 5 and all racial frigs to 3. Although, if you are only doing PvE, it might not be a concern.
Other than that, if you solo I'd say BC. If you group, cruiser. If you don't have all of your core skills at standard I'd put off BS for later.

The class that seems to offer the most bang for your buck is:
Cruisers V.
Logi
Recon
Hac
Hic
T3
The Proteus is very versatile and can cover a wide range of duties. PvE, PvP, Exploration.
T1 and T2 Cruisers are fairly inexpensive to fly in PvP. Though they are not the *best* for PvP in general, Vexor, Ishtar, Thorax, are common in many fleets. Arazu is fun and dangerous.

I do agree that the Destroyer and BC skills should be a high priority for people who don't have them to V at this time.
All of the ships BC and smaller will use medium weapons or less. Consider this into your over all time frame when making a decision based on hull size.

Don't be afraid to commit to those level V's. They are very much worth the time invested. You can feel the difference in the performance of the ships.

Skill change isnt next week so getting a bc V and cruiser V should be a good choice atm . For all 4 races .

Opportunities multiply as they are seized.

Has that specific (or approximate) timing been announced?

The only timing I keep hearing is "not on Dec 4, some time later."

Thanks all, seems like I should try to get in Destroyers V if that will be split the soonest and then plan to train BC V., then BS V

I actually have my core skills all at Standard except for targeting as I apparently never picked up multitasking lol...though I can fit my Dom and Mega just fine and have done a few L4's for Fed Navy I actually have been spending the last couple nights on L3's with my Myrm for a different NPC corp I want Standing/LP with.
