Medium blasters have the range of small pulse lasers. Why not give them the tracking of them as well?

Make it so with a web a thorax can hit a close orbitting ab frigate. A battleship with a web would be able to hit a close orbitting cruiser.

They still wouldn't be overpowered because they would still have difficulty getting in range of ships their own size.

It keeps the guns unique.

Just a thought.

It has more to do with targeting resolution of sized guns than tracking.

That doesn't actually hit anything?

Thorax using all its gun slots(and if it doesn't its useless against other cruisers) will still die to an ab frigate unless he uses ecm drones. If he does use ecm drones he will die to 2 ab frigates.

Thats what I wonder too. I don't think it would be. But no one is really saying it would be overpowered or if they would still be underpowered.

The thing is this solution widens the differences between weapons instead of making them more the same. I think thats a good thing.

People who say just make gallente and other blaster ships able to catch other ships more often would make them overpowered. Right now I think the balance between trying to kite someone or trying to catch a kiter is pretty good.

I think we can hit two bird with one stone here gents!

Blasters are useless, and hull reps are useless (specifically in combat remote)

Suggestion:

Successful Railgun and Blaster hits should cause 90% damage to a targets current tank, and 10% of the damage should be split on whatever is left.

*Say if i hit a shield tank
90% of the damage would hit the shields. 8% would ignore shields and break into armor, and the last 2% would hit hull.
I do 1000 damage. 900 damage done to shields, 80 to armor, 20 to hull.

*Armor tank
90% would go into armor damage, 10% would go into hull damage.
1000 damage. 900 to armor, 100 to hull.

*Hull
If a hybrid gun hits hull with at least 70% or more of it's damage (like if some one only had a sliver of armor left), the damage against the hull is increased by 300%
1000 damage. Armor absorbed 200. Hull damage is 800x3.00= 3200

Mechanic change:
Ships die when hull is reduced to 0, not when all bars are to 0.

This may help stop the All Armor/Shield fleets, and help make structure reps more viable. Only one per 10 logistics would have to have hull reps im sure because not every one will use hybrids.

EDIT: sure the numbers are probably OP, but i think you get the idea.

I've got no idea how long a remote hull repairer takes to cycle, but if they're anything like the onboard reppers, they'd need to cut the cycle and seriously beef up the amount of hp restored.

Can you hear them? They are calling to us. It is beautiful. http://thegreattichim.wordpress.com/
