More reliable way is doing COSMOS missions plus Epic Arc (the first one that you do after career agents).

I always use the cosmos missions. Although I have yet to finish all the level 4 ones as I never needed to go that far to get the needed standings.

The best online guide I have used is Cosmos 101 It is a great guide. But read ahead and collect the items dropped in public access area's before taking the missions.

Many of the Cosmos area's you need to farm for drops are static sites and are over farmed. The drops are rare and you will often need more time than what the mission allows to collect the items. Most are available on contracts but get expensive.

P.S. if you fail a mission because you could not collect the items in time you will never be able to get it again. Some missions are required to unlock the next in the series or grant an item needed later to progress. But most you can simply skip if you fail. You can pick up the chain at almost any point but you will get the best faction boost doing them all.

For what it's worth, I don't think the Circle Agents give faction standing anymore.

Did the Gallente bunch today and only got corp standing.

Bugsy as always is correct about the cosmos missions.

Datacenter tag hand ins will get you quite far with the faction standing. I recently did the Amarr and amanatar tag handings and ended with roughly 6.5 total standings (after skills). Remember the anchoring requirements are based on non-derived standings (standing values without skills).

Also if you are looking to grind standings fact look into L3 courier missions. You can chain several missions at once (find a good hub with 3 - 5 mission agents) with many of them going to the same station / area (L3 always stay in the constellation if I remember correctly) The mission payout is awful, but you can unlock a storyline mission very fast (I average about 1 per hour).

One argument for doing all the Data Center missions for a given faction, is that you then don't have to do any record-keeping of which ones you've already done, i.e. if you feel the need to return 2-4 years later to do the rest of them.

Also, when it comes to the Caldari Data Centers, the expensive tags are the ones for the level 1 agents. The higher level tags are quite cheap. I presume there's a similar price dynamic for the Data Centers of the other factions.

I did this too, and got such high standings with Khanid I can anchor there too. And I've never even been there or run a Khanid based mission Lol

The datacentre agents work pretty well for lvl3 and lvl4. The tags for the lower level ones aren't worth doing over actually doing missions with the right skills.
Train connections and reach standings over 3.0 with the needed faction by doing Tuorials followed by the Sisters of Eve Epic arc.
Then if you can acces the lvl3 datacentre agents buy the tags and do those. If you're lucky wtith the right skills, lvl4's are close as well and those give a nice boost as well. If you don't have the needed standings after the datacentre agents, do some (Cosmos) missions to go to 5.0 after skills and do the level 4 datacentre ones then.

Keep in mind that the standings required for agents are skill affected, the standings to actually place a high-sec POS aren't. Connections and Social are the skills you want to train to get standings raised faster.

Yes, Factional Warfare works for standings. Each 1.0 of gained corp standing gives a "promotion" which is a quite huge chunk of faction standing. The promotion at 9.0 gives +18% faction standing. If you can blitz the lvl4 FW missions, you can get 7.0 standing in less than 10h of gametime spent. However, for that you need either a cov-ops t3 or a stealth bomber.

As for data centers....

The only ones which give any meaningul standings increase are the ones which cost a **** ton. The cheaper ones give a small portion. Just with the cheap ones (w.o. connections) you will not even reach the required amount to start to turn in the lvl4 tags.

I did the grind recently for amarr and went like this (no connections, social 5):

Career missions (0->1.6) -> circle missions (+0.05) -> starter tags (1.6->3.5) -> COSMOS (3.5->6.5) -> last tags (6.5->7.0)

The derived caldari standings ended up somewhere near 5.4. The whole 'cycle' took just one weekend of 6-8h per day, only using the <50m per stack tags. However, i did it with 2 characters at the same time, so spent a fair deal more time on it so if you are following a guide and doing it for one toon, can do it quite easily in one weekend.

Just to be complete about this: the ability to POS anchor is based on the actual Standings value, and not the derived Standing from skills.

Also, remember that your entire Corporation's average Standing must be at the desired value (even if everyone but yourself has to temporarily leave) for 7 DownTimes before the standings 'take'.
