Well CSM is bunch of fan-boys. Free trips to Iceland, trips, free beer. That kind of stuff. Like they said "They are friends with CCP" CCP "is buying" them.. But its like in real world politics.. We can't do anything with that. The only thing that you can do is to try to get to CSM.. Free trip, beer, etc.. :)

CSM is/was great marketing trick. Why CCP have this forum ? Because its easy to control. Imagine that we all posting via kugu or other forum.. "Rebel" is the matter of hours..

Better idea.

remove Titans and rename Supercarriers to Motherships, remove fighter bombers, alter the DD to being omni directional, remove the 'mwd disrupting' feature of scramblers, and make webs 90% again, and undo the nano nerf.

Pretty much undo all the horribleness that was done with the nanonerf.

EVE was FUN up until that happened, after that it just quickly declined, and by quickly i mean within a ******* month..

ALL HAIL THE NANO AGE! Cool

edit://
oh and make a new T2 variant of the tier3 battleships, one with capital guns (think tier3 battlecruiser) and remove the guns from the titans, and give them a new module, one that'll bubble 249km / 500km / (the grid) around them (think interdictor, just, a titan..) - and when it's activated, it's up for 30 minutes, no movement or anything. use it and be prepared to pay the ultimate price

edit2://
yes i hate titans, **** titans - only time titans rocked, was when they had the omnidd. Talk about crowd control
(O ****, TITAN ON FIELD, RUUUUUUUUUUUUN) now? (oh titan on field, LIGHT A CYNO, BRING IN THE 5000 SUPERCAPS WE HAVE ON STANDBY FOFOFOFOFOFOFO)

One of the many things killing this game is power projection. Crossing the galaxy in just a few minutes is stupid. Going from one side to the other should take no less than a week. Nerfing jump range or things like increasing fuel costs will hardly be what is needed. Time should be the bottle neck for moving capital ships.

I don't have a problem with an alliance defending space they occupy, but more with an alliance that defends someone else's space. Especially on the other side of the map and the ability to zip right back home to deal with that five man battle cruiser roam that made all their anomaly farming carriers safe up.

You have to admit tho, it's one of the rare occasions, something good and well written on EN24, doesn't happen every day.

Minus a few spelling errors here and there.

In all honesty, the two sites need each other. Competition drives innovation. Granted both sites are equally bias, we can only hope that as time goes on it will become less and less apparent.

Back on topic, I agree with most of DNSBlacks thoughts on the current null situation. If he does run for the CSM I'm sure he will do well.

How are you going to make alliances spend two weeks crossing EvE verse if a regular pilot in an armor plated ship can cross it in a few hours? Let be realistic here and propose ideas that don't require complete rebuild and reboot of the game.

I'm not arguing with some of the points raised in that article... some have merit. Esp the moonstuff.

But I think if you reduce the fuel bay of a Titan and remove the ability for the Titan to constantly refuel (grab the required fuel for a mass jump bridge from POS hangers) and add a cooldown timer that would prevent instant refueling, the bridge blob would be reduced.

Would I be opposed to a limitation on the amount of ships that could be bridged? Probably not. Provided that limitation is not absurd like a single carrier or 5 ships. A Titan should at least be able to bridge a single Wings worth of ships. But as it is now, I think bridging multiple hundreds of players in a Battleship blob while sitting snug under a POS shield with fuel hangers is outrageous.

For the love of god... please make Titans battleboats again. Since Dominion they've just.... well.... regressed into this bridge-o-matic tool that is cool and all... but not really effective outside of that POS shield or a group of 20.... And given the invalid target campaign and the tiericide efforts, perhaps Eve pvp should be structured around class warfare as opposed to click and shoot with small boats warfare.

Dreadnaughts and Carriers need serious TLC & expansions.... If cruisers and battleships were limited to 1 hull since their introduction, there would have been some serious lobbying for more hulls and roles.

We need Anti-sub capital Dreads and Carriers, anti-captal and anti-super caps.... new and improved fighter drones, modular capital weapons that can be customized for player chosen roles. Specialized tools for not only sub-cap warfare, but new capital modules that enable the middle class (capitals) to become the new stumbling block for supers. Were talking capital E-war, capital tackle etc that would lock down and hold supers.

Sub-capitals need to fall in line with the invalid target mechanics introduced for Supers. Supers can't pew pew subs, so subs should have to rely on capitals to pew pew supers. Subs demanded that capitals be vulnerable without sub-cap support fleets, and yet they demand their microscopic handguns be able to chew through super hulls at the same time.

Lets not start the whole risk re-ward argument around hull costs and using isk as a balancing factor. Frigate sized risks should = frigate sized rewards. Much the same way as hi-sec risks should = hi-sec rewards. Hi-sec mining anyone? Otherwise we could just as well nerf 0.0 and move all the isk making activities to hi-sec and be done with it. No point in going through the effort of grabbing sov, holding it, developing it and so on.... when some 30 rookie frigates can shoot past and just take it all down.

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

Awesome article, well written and thought out.

Much better way to bring life to Null, than just giving them everything that they want.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

So what you purpose is just to use 5titans in a pos for bridging the same fleet as currently done by only 1... You sir should rethink that, just another thing that makes it dumb and does not solve the problem AT ALL is not gonna help.

So, in his article which is on evenews 24 (-1 for that off the bat), he has a section titled "isk pooling" then proceeds to define what he thinks isk pooling is. By his definition, isk pooling is trading for isk. I"m not too sure why he doens't just call it trading, but he doesn't. I won't lie I didn't read very much past this point.

Although, I did notice that he was referring to technetium as the largest "isk pool" in the game. Surely he could have done a little more research and realized that technetium's "isk pool" is 1/5th the size of the isk pool of tritanium, based of jita volumes, since it's the largest hub. Considering tritanium is traded in many other systems, some that aren't even hubs, technetium is even smaller than 1/5th of the volume of isk that trades hands compared to tritanium.

I think the author would have been better off using "Nerf Badgerhump coalition" as his title. Or better yet, "Give me technetium please, CCP"

Build t2 with tech....., right? cornered market ? Monopoly? just wondering why you are comparing T2 resource need with something that is found in EVERY system in the game, Veldspar.

Dealing with those battleships is far, far easier than dealing with capitals blobbing up your space. Proposing capitals be limited on travel based on time is hardly a rebuild or reboot.

Nope. Read it again.

1) Reduce the fuel the titan can bridge with
2) Reduce the number of ships it can bridge
3) Nerf bridge refueling
4) Combine with article points (1 cyno per grid, 1 bridge per cyno)
5) Add cooldowns

You'd need closer to 10 titans to move 256 people and even then, it would be:

1) 1 Titan at a time, pushing no more than 25-50 ships (depending on size and fuel required for bridge) every few minutes
2) Take a few cycles to move the whole gang per titan, resulting in hotdrops in waves instead of 1 giant blob

If you want to take it even further.... prevent the bridge from being activated within 10km or more of a POS shield.
