I don't care about who makes more isks and/or if someone buys more plexes than me and/or if i can or can't afford Plexes.
The reason of this post can be read CLEARLY, i am not hoping to see players to unsubscribe or not buying PLEX as it wouldn't affect my personal decisions. But I can understand for some idiots might be hard to understand the point.

19.95 for a plex.

I pay 10.95 for a month.
Why because I can budget.

PLEX is a way for people who can't afford 10.95 a month to play the game but at the cost of time.

As far as the prices.
Well freedom of choice.
People have to realize the price of Plex is entirely dependent on the number of people who are willing to pay 19.95 in RL cash for them to get ISK in return.
That is NOT a bottomless well folks.

And coming to the forum and complaining that other people don't want to pay for your EVE subscription is well..........

Almost...are u in your mom's basement? Do you have your Cheetos and Dew ready for tonite's pvp session?

Now remember the tinfoil will only block out the additional voices that are being broadcast in to your head, the ones that are already there will be well insulated.

Ohhh and to the OP - got proof? Speculation and conjecture are neither .

The real reason plex prices rise is because of goons ofc, when CCP logs a big plex purchase, they monitor the account to see if it gets moved, then goons gank it.

It's "just before" an expansion. Looking at this from a statistical point of view, some characters with trillions of ISK, will be sat there trying to remain cool on top of candy mountain. They'll try anything to feel cool, otherwise they'd treat EVE as a game, instead of a new market, with *unsuspecting customers ingame* and *dangerous sharks that could topple them*.

All the locked threads seem to revolve around half-story questions until tonnes of answers flood in then the usual suspects get the batphone and the thread is locked. CCP will have read that thread, moderators only need to act/react when the forum rules are broken.

Imagine the following:

Corp A. doesn't like Incarna
Corp A. posts on the forums that they don't like Incarna
People shrug
Corp A. unsubs.

Now try it this way:

Corp A. doesn't like Incarna
Corp A. buys cheap PLEX using buy orders and "legit market manipulation"
Corp A. posts on forums
Corp A. sees some people agree and others don't
Corp A. has tonnes of paid-for-by-plex alts
Corp A. has a dialogue on paid-for-by-plex alts until a turning point
Corp A. uses the forum troll account to lock the thread / invokes a circular argument to frustrate their opponent and he or she gets the thread locked.
Someone gets bored and unsubs.
Corp A. continues playing
Corp A. sees controversy and this cycle rinses/repeats.

One of these affects CCP's customer base, Corp A. unsubbing alone doesn't
Corp A. buys more plex from the market.

Not saying that's what is happening but its definitely more likely than CCP rigging ISK levels against PLEX, wallet transactions alone would indicate the point of purchase and point of sale.

If the PLEX price is unaffordable in ISK terms all other arguments re: balancing income fall over. It's likely a natural process of "feel big <-> push players out" move.

You can also see that in scenario 2, Corp A. needs *unsuspecting observer 90210* to join in the charade otherwise it fails.

A real truth or dare question would be: How long does it take to buy all the PLEX and relist for higher?

If you see a region with 8 buy orders and 1 sell order they've likely all been bought for a higher price than the buy order, which was marginally lower than the average sell order. Jita Central made that line of market domination possible.

No one is to blame here but the process of PLEX/ISK and it's a much more integrated/appealing process than RMT. Anyone notice that around the time these threads opened up Fanfest was announced proper? that also has a secondary affect on PLEX prices compared with the primary raise of plex prices for people to see the expansion.

ISK is devalued.

Prediction for you: with the changes to NPC AI, and the introduction of a mining ship, I believe trends are going to reverse. More minerals, less ISK from missions and rats. Minerals will come down in price, and plexes along with them.

I agree that ISK is the problem but solving that has more to do with null sec being a field of blue than missions pumping out too much isk. Missions are pumping out at the same rate they have for quite some time now. The problem is that ships aren't disappearing at the same rate. NPC AI changes won't do anything to solve the problem.

A thread came up a few weeks ago where the OP accused CCP of creating isk, buying PLEX off the market & then trashing them (Ironically, it was made just a few hours after Andski's post about what he would do with 1 trillion isk). This thread is basically the same thing & will probably be locked for the same thing. In fact, this is probably the same poster.

Most likely, since it is blatantly accusing CCP of scamming the player base and presents no proof what so ever.

It also completely ignores the fact that when PLEX prices rise, demand for them actually drops from those that wish to purchase them to pay for their accounts. When demand from the end customer base drops, the numbers purchased by the people wishing to sell them for ISK drops. CCPs does not make more money by PLEX being more expensive on the market, they make more money when they sell more of them due to high demand from the end consumer.

As a ploy to get people to stop buying PLEX so that your price will drop this thread is pretty obvious.

Here's a question. Why would CCP risk the future of their entire company buying and trashing plex? As far as I can tell, they're not exactly strapped for cash and don't have any shareholders breathing down their neck. And make no mistake, if they were doing this and a disgruntled employee decided to release proof, it would end CCP.

your formulation does not sound ok!

CCP can not overprice the plex, because if they did (set price higher than possible), fewer people would buy it, on a regular basis, so there is no such artificial price control as you stated.

This is completely player driven demand, if people buy at higher price and tend to buy more than there is readily available - it only means that people are full of excessive ISK and want to invest into some hard value like plex, which supposedly never goes bad or deppriciates, unlike PIXELs, plex is a commodity, a promise of CCP to activate your account and provide real world services.

More importantly, as sellers discover the upper limit of the pricing, they always are willing to try and get more out of it. As long as customers with a lot of ISK exist, and they keep buying it, sellers will try and charge more every time (simply because of profit motive).

Finally, realize that ISK gotten from Plex is gonna be blown on the market right away, that ISK was idle in buyers account (he saved enough cash to buy plexes), now the ISK is passed on and used for transactions on the market. Which actually stimulates more activity and along that ship/module price increase, thus inflation spins faster, market traders get ISKs and can go and buy more plexes.

I demonstrated how PLEXes only stimulate inflation. Cause of inflation is overabundance of ISK in entire game. Reason why it doesn't crash - people sit on ISK, turning it into treasure, taking it out of market circulation and economy. On a final note, human psychology always turns to greed and wish to stockpile power and influence along with money and basic stuff.

This post sums up why the 'best' work with DCM inc.
