EVE-Mail Pen-pals!

Hello EvE-lets! Today I am making a topic because I want an EvE-mail Penpal. At first I was just going to ask for a pen-pal, but then, remembering this is a forum I thought I might as well make the topic for anyone who wants a penpal. Though, I suspect there is very little demand for them so it might end up just for me anyways!

Okay! So I think maybe you will just give a little info about what kind of pen-pal would work best for you and then you can start pen-palling away in game! The key is to start off right. If your opening pen pal attempt is short and not fun you will not be a happy camper.

I want my penpal to be able to type moderately well, be able to think of silly things, and most importantly, must think the Ferox is the most pretty ship. I suspect mostly we will talk about politics and movies and EVE and how pretty the Ferox is even if it is not as good as it's older brother. Another thing is it would be nice if my pen-pal was someone who could answer the odd question since I am still fairly new. I also have found that if you disagree with someone then talking to them is sometimes more interesting, so if you disagree on anything that is not a bad thing! Not the Ferox though, you cannot disagree on that it is the most important. - I forgot to say in here, my pen-pal cannot be someone who gets angry easily, that is even more important than the Ferox. Angry people are scary and a no go!

I think maybe if you are a non AFK miner this pen-pal program could really improve your rock thirsting experience. Now you do not have to zoom in your camera to the laser over and over to entertain yourself, instead, you can talk about how pretty the Ferox is, or link your favourite web comic to your pen-pal.

My name is Kietay~

Hello there!

I'm kind of intrigued by your proposition, but...

Assuming OP isn't trolling, that might actually be a neat idea.

Ferox's are pretty good looking though.

Do phantom and spitfire take their lunch break at the same time? Why isn't this thread locked/moved yet?

I think you should be introduced to Garmon, he likes to send billions of isk to people like you.

If you do engage in this kind of thing, remember the rule of the web: Men are men, women are men, and mintchip probably used to be a man. (sorry mint, its th eonly thing that came to mind.)

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

Dunno about the Ferox, looks a bit like one of those dogs that always walk on their fists in cartoons :)

On the other hand i also have a deep appreciation for the aesthetics of certain ships. When i first started Eve i was Minmatar and was nicely surprised at how many of their hulls look, then after a week or so of playing i saw my first Abaddon floating outside a lowsec station as i un-docked. He targeted me and i was so busy trying to info his ship to find out what the hell it was that i nearly didnt make it out in my shuttle :P So once i trained Minmatar battleships i crossed over to Amaar, now i fly an Abaddon almost exclusively. I'd like to say its cus lasers rock but really i just always wanted one and now i dont have to get shot at to look at one..

NPC Ferox's go down in 2 volleys currently, but i'm gonna work on T2 Lasers and Crystals once Amaar Bs5 is done.

If you write to me and tell me all about the Ferox i'll have something to read while i slowboat through highsec wishing i'd taken off the armor plates before i left on a long journey. Maybe if it's long and intertesting and i can smell perfume through my keyboard i might even write you back :)

Edit: Thought i wrote "Battieships" but it was a spec on my screen...

I need a penpal, something along the lines of what I'm looking for can be found here
and here

Must have the same sort of interests as me, such as :

1. Feeding me grapes while watching Manchester United.
2. Pouring me a cold beer on demand.
3. Avid user of the Pole dancing fitness system.

Okay! I guess I have a few things to say. First of, a pen-pal is someone you write letters back and forth to for no other good reason than to do just that! Secondly, o_o I am sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I did try to decide where to put it and between new player Q&A and General I decided here. If it is not correct please move it but don't kill it! Thirdly... third of... thirdst... NEXT I am glad there are some people who seem sort of interested but did not exactly start off on the right foot like I said would be a good idea to do!

Remember, you should probably say what you want in a pen-pal otherwise things might not work out wonderfully. Judging from the way people speak to each other in here it seems like most people know most other forum members at least relatively well so maybe a pen-pal idea would not really be needed for them. But I do not like forums very much! Too public and a spinny mess.

Also, some people seem to be scared of the idea of writing letters to other people. I haven't figured this out yet but I suspect the blame is to be placed on YOU people! The -last- thing I expected to see in responses was a comparison between a pen-pal and cyber sex. Do not be afraid of writing little turtles, pen-palling is a time honoured and highly regarded institution in Canada. It is after all the only way we were able to communicate with the outside world until 1957, but that is another story.

So reminding everyone again! Please at least give clues to your personality and what kind of pen-paller you would be so people can pick with the best pick they can pick.

Hey wow! You have some great ideas that are so similar to something I was thinking! This is really amazing I don't even have to make a post now because your idea is already here and totally rids me of the need to do that. I really like your hair style too, we should be best friends and penpalls, but also hopefully someone else wants to be your penpall to since I suspect we are so alike we have very little to talk about! Aw cute Ferox drawing.

You can write me letters. *puts on my robe and wizard hat*

The advantage of a bad memory is that one can enjoy the same good things for the first time several times.

One will rarely err if extreme actions be ascribed to vanity, ordinary actions to habit, and mean actions to fear.
