Any downside to remap original Achura pilot?

Hello,

I am wondering if there is any downside to remapping an original Caldari-Achura-Inventor with the 15 Charisma. If i ever decided to sell her, would that add any value. I have been running the numbers as she approaches the 100m SP mark and realize she should be farther ahead then she is because of not having the specialized remaps the past few years. Finally thinking about doing the remap, but nostalgia in me is having a hard time pulling the trigger. Am i missing anything?

Thanks.

always remap to what youre training.

There was a similar thread about this topic before.

General opinion is, bad remaps make for less SP, so less value overall.
And from a buyers perspective. Why pay for a toon where you are commited to bad remaps eternally? Because you would most likely want to to a proper remap asap.

It would be different if the toon was a cyno alt or something, but 100 mil SP way overshadows any value that Charisma attributes might have.

I bit the bullet and did it. I'm slightly more charismatic now, and training a lot faster.

i was not around back in the days, so can someone clarify this for me: are the 15 charisma compensated for in other attributes or is the character just a few attribute points short compared to the 'younger' ones?

I should buy an Ishtar.

Base stats are all now 17, and you have 14 allocable points. Tell us the other stats of the toon in question and we can tell you (or run the arithmetic yourself), otherwise frankly it's dubious that anyone cares enough to remember.

Back in the day, one started with a pre-defined set of attributes based on race and bloodline, and then were given 5 points to assign as you wanted, with no more than 3 points per attribute.

Caldari Achura started with 3 charisma, which was later boosted by +12 with the removal of learning skills, so 15 charisma became their base charisma, i.e. Caldari Achura could have +2 more attribute points assigned to other attributes because they were -2 in charisma.

I seem to recall another Caldari bloodline having +2 intellect, and the great rush to create research alts before the patch that made it no longer possible.

The Apocrypha expansion introduced the New Player Experience (NPE) with attribute remapping (and more notably w-space).

P.S. I think attributes were re-done in an earlier expansion too (Red Moon Rising [RMR]?), but that was before my time.

so depending on where the extra two points went, you might be able to train certain skills faster than possible for younger chars? that sounds pretty awesome tbh. on the other hand, you are probably out of stuff to skill by now anyway.

I should buy an Ishtar.
