Last night I completed 'The Maze' Guristas 10/10 complex. It was the first time I'd done the complex and expected the acceleration gates to be as described in the wiki page. In the 1st and 2nd rooms there are 12 gates and they should be in a 'clock' pattern with each gate representing an hour on a clock. Infact, the gates were pointing in the right directions but scattering in the wrong positions in all axis (x,y & z).

This made it an extra pain as there was a fair amount of travel to certain gates to progress.

Anyone else had this problem?

Its exploration, not missions.

There shouldn't be guides to begin with.

Also, you realize the wiki is user submitted data right?

I suggest you do some background work before you make a reply like that again. The wiki article about the maze features screenshots of the clock layout, it's not something that could realistically have been made up.

Also, considering how tough the final room is, you'd be a complete numbnut not to get as much information about it as possible prior to sending in an expensive ship(s).

The post prior to yours is actually beneficial, unlike yours

Or you know, you could play the game with some balls and not require your hand to be held for everything you do.

As for the images, thats a perfect example of why its useless. The site was updated MONTHS ago. As in, players are too lazy/stupid to update that page. And yet you still cling to it like a pubbie moron.

But you know, keep at it your way. Seems to be going pretty well.

Oh god, we have a 'Balls of Steel' poster who has never asked for or sought informatiom on anything within Eve. Get off your high horse you self righteous gibbon. As far as 'clinging' to it, all I did was comment that the gate layout was different to that of the wiki page and wondered if there was bug, nothing more, nothing less, you insolent little pup.

Sub, Sketch has a point, you should be doing it on your own, not looking the information up to make it easier for yourself.

Like he said, Its EXPLORATION, not a standard mission, henze why its 10/10.

All I did was highlight the fact that there was an inconsistancy between what was on a CCP hosted, sponsored and owned site and something in-game. Get over it.

Would you try and solo tank a complex in a > 2b ship blind without getting information about the plex 1st?!?!

Anyway, why are missions different to plexes?

OP has reiterated topic, whether to use a guide or whether the maze is a mission or plex is off topic also. Future players will search for maze, find this thread and only see that CCP and some industrialist think the topic is to not use a guide and many will try that and lose hundreds of dollars of ships and CCP and the industrialist will laugh like crazy but what future players need to consider is that the Evelopedia and this thread are both misinformation. They are misinformation because the cost of the accurate information comes at a very steep price.

but is that the whole story?

Also the bookmarks are sold, these are a random escalations and not normally found during exploration, nor are they found normally by people that are equipped to handle them. Keeping the information secret, keeps the risk high. The escalation has a time limit and a potentially large time commitment. Both of these factors lead many people to sell maze bookmarks. Keeping the information secret as long as possible helps lower the price. But this is usually within a null sec alliance. There supposed to be like brothers.

So is this squabble over recovering investment a sort of sibling rivalry?

And perhaps help me, whats a common word for disinformation or misinformatio. Way to many syllables. People need to quit throwing this around.

OP, AB will combine nicely with a low sig radius to lower your damage btw. Congrats on completed MaZE. :) good show.

I had an LSE on to deal with the initial citadel torp hit, but it didn't register that highly so I might as well swap it for an AB.
