Yeah if only Guristas and drakes fired fertilizer powered missiles maybe defender missiles would hit more often.

Cost of an unguided rocket from Hamas: $2000
Cost of an interceptor missile from Israel:$55000
1 unguided rocket cost 1 interceptor missile

Conclusion: Well done Israel, your people love you for it and your treasury probably hates you but a capsuleer will probably say let them all die (Disclaimer - Does not reflect my personal opinion on the conflict)

I dont understand the significance of you bringing this to our attention? Are you mocking the military or eve online?

If the military of course they work, superpowers would not have spent billions of currency making them work if they didnt finish the product. The defense network is designed to overlap just enough to defend one another. Regardless of the outcome these systems have worked since the cold war The most recent only straight failure was in the middle east with the united states and there stealth aircraft.

If your mocking eve, are you making fun of mod urn technology working while eve's future failing? Quite franckly i dont see the resemblence in earth and future space besides the fact that earth is in it.

Why is it that people think this game is for everyone?A better question would be "Why do some people think this game is only for them?"

tbh a 15% failure rate is pretty poor, and that is only against the rockets it went up against, doesn't count the ones that slipped through undetected.

Chill man take off the sarcasm glass, I mentioned the treasury because I thought a lot of people hated banker cause of the financial crisis and would be inclined to agree

I made fun of how detached a capsuleer perception of reality compared to the average joe. I even include a disclaimer, the disclaimer reflects what I imagine a capsuleer would say if in the same situation managing a colony off-world during an attack.

And I listed the cost of manufacture because, we can better make comparison if its listed in RL currencies, I have no idea to translate it in ISK and Trit cost sorry. The difference shows that compared to defender missile vs unguided missiles we have a long way to go to make the tech more affordable.

Sorry, there was no intention of "mocking" Israel, politics or otherwise.

I was merely jesting that defender missiles in EVE are near useless, but have a RL analogue that appears to be effective! :)

A lot of people who never look up from the balance books to notice the cheap unguided rocket that failed to make it to their office block.

[edit] oh yeh, BUFF Eve's Defender Missiles !!!!

And the Israeli system launches two interceptors at a time-- $110,000 total per incoming Hamas rocket.

Yeah not cheap, but can you put a price on people's lives?

EVE relevance - buff defenders! Make em more expensive too! :D
