Linking everything!

When I was searching for a specific npc corp, I realized I accidentally tried to link item. and to my surprise, I got a ton of hits.
This is pretty freaking awesome. Now when someone says they have a problem with a npc mission ship: "dude, link'em."
You can link npc enemy ships and items.
I can link concord ships, pirate npc ships like lynx and actually get a preview and look at them.

However more often than not, most npc ships info can be linked, but its only description and no preview as normal.
Any intention to make all these ships capable of preview?
I really want to spin a Roden Police Major.

This may in fact be a bug itself as I don't believe that your supposed to be able to link NPC items and ships.

If it is a bug then make this a damn feature, as said this can help quiet a bit when people are trying to describe something they can just link it.

Pretty sure its not a bug as I recall a Dev replied to a post ages ago about npc linking and previewing as a "why not? I'll look into it" kind of response.
Been digging in the search function for the exact post but it was an aside to the main topic I believe which makes it a huge pain to track down.

Hmm, I can't seem to find any on it myself, would be good to get a Dev to clarify this.

Probably didn't want us linking all the QA Modules xD

Enough people already have spoofed ship fits with the QA modules anyway.

Very true, but not every Module :P
