Question about multiple mining accounts

Ive been flying a few accounts and doing or the normal stuff in this game but i was thinking about getting into mining in a big way for no real reason apart from its something different

If i start up 5 hulks with 1 Orca with maxed out skills and implants what is the approximate amount of Isk i can make an hour in highsec.

I know that a maxed out hulk with max bonuses can mine roughly 30000 Velspar per cycle (disclaimer. OP may have no idea what he is talking about)

Ive mined with other people a few times before and the best thing is finishing the belt.

If i have 5 miners 1 Orca can i pay for a few accounts or will it be a hiding to nothing.

My Missioner makes a fortune, more than i lose in pvp so its not overly for the isk.

secondly if i dont like it i can just deativate the accounts i dont want.

Most ive heard of is someone using 14 mining accounts.

My thanks for your thoughtful answers and a huge shout out to all the trolls

If you're going to do something like that, please don't mine anywhere near where I mine. P
Hard enough finding belts in highsec that have nice sized rocks. I'm probably in the wrong area tho.

I bet ya people will make comments about highsec mining and isk/hour thing.

I don't know if you can make enough to pay for all your accounts if that's what you want to do.
But you'd get a fair amount of isk if you find nice belts.

Better places to mine than highsec to be honest. But I think you want safe places.

Yeah safe places are what im looking for.

Ive never mined in caldari space so there are generally plenty of huge untouched belts around. And im happy for that.

Thanks for the post

Rorqual + hulks + C4-6 WH (with right static)= money. In vast amounts.

Why mine in hisec? It's dangerous out there What?

Hisec hulks can make about 10-25m/hour if I remember correctly, dependent on what you're mining.
Wormhole hulks can make 30-60m/hour dependent on what you're mining (on par with nullsec iirc)

I repeat my previous statement: why mine in hisec?

its very true that C4-C6 has very attractive mining options but if it all goes wrong then 5 hulks and an orca can be involved in a one way nightmare from hell

Does anyone have a rough hourly rate for 5 hulks and an orca mining veldspar (or any of the highsec Rocks)

At prices taken not too long ago, 10-12 MISK/hour/Hulk mining Veldspar. About 10% more from Pyroxeres, which was at the time the most profitable hisec ore. This is assuming no downtime and a perfect mining fit.

Mine Kernite in Amarr High Sec, mainly cause after you've gotten all of that they still have Vels and Pyr to suck away on.

and Its 56000 Vels per cycle with Max Bonuses and Implants. Per Hulk. Thats both implants for yeild.

Don't ask about Italics, just tilt your head.

Currently my hulk, with almost max skills, mining with my main in an orca with almost max skills (both with implants) I can make anywhere form 11 to 15 mil/hr on high sec ores (i keep a spread sheet that i can update with jita prices ever so often).

I would imagine with full max skill I could bumb that up another 2mil/hr... so with 5 accts all mining i would say around 75mil/hr is a safe bet. But now your getting to the issue of finding belts that wont be dry after 30mins of mining, so it will require some searching... I know of some spots, but I'll let you find your own.

Last time I checked (about a week ago) Pyrox was best, Veld and Kernite were virtually tied, and Plag was making a come back as mex prices increased. So caldari or amarr high sec wont be too bad.

You could take the same 6 accts, teach them all how to fly a maelstrom, then get some corpmates to fill out a Vanguard fleet and make something like 600mil/hr, while also enjoying the MMO part of this game.

Thanks for the info and hello the goons

My real problem is that i mission in a maxed out boat and clear out missions in 10 minutes with 20 minutes tops for the hard ones. done pew pew although it gets tiring looking for targets

just wanted something new although a friend has advised me against it and he is a miner. I just dont want to train for 6 accounts and realise that mining is the most tedious thing in the world even with 6 accounts

It is. Missions and Mining after awhile get mind numbling boring. If your looking the best practical way to multi account mine, do it in null. There are corps and alliances that will take multi-account miners in a heart beat. With static grav sites you can make enough to fund all acounts easy mining ABCM. Granted you might have to deal with a couple mandatory mining ops.

If youre looking for safe places, dont look at high sec lol Goons have taken care of that
Friend of mine bought his first hulk, and took it into a belt, and before the first load was in his hold, he got his suicide ganker cherry popped lol

I recommend mining ice for more than 4+ accounts. Otherwise you’re going to give yourself carpel tunnel from all the clicking involved since the roids will keep depleting. You’ll make less ISK per hour, but given your RL health… so worth it.

your choice, 75m/hour with 5 accounts in hisec or running hisec incursions to the tune of 100m+/hour on one account

both are in hisec, incursion ships actually have some defense against ganks etc

honestly keeping a 6 acc op in empire is a big waste v0v

Hi sec systems with no stations. Anchor a POS at one of the moons and haul stuff to there. Later haul it all out with a freighter. Most noobs/small mining corps mine in systems with stations so that they can spend less time hauling and systems with no stations are relatively empty, but if you have the standing to anchor in high sec this is the way to go if you are serious about mining.
