flying a ship

hi guys say you have the skills to fly a ship but u dont have all the skills for all the items on the ship. what would happen if say u ransomed somone and let them eject to take the ship or found it at in a safe spot or somthing like that. could you pilot that ship if you have the skills to fly it. and would it jsut turn the mods u cant use off? and rigs as well if they T2 or what ever or would it jsut say sorry ur **** go get the skills :) iam hopeing for the irst one tbh:)

I do believe it offlines mods that you can't actually use or fit. Starting with highs?

You only need the skill to fit the rig, not fly them. The fittings penalties though are based on your skills.
The modules I don't know. Anyway, if you've ransomed some dude and can't board his ship, just shoot it :D

If you only have the skill to fly said ship, but no skills to use any of its mods, you WILL be able to fly the ship... all the mods will just go inactive.

Yeah it offlines the mods, don't know about the order... But yeah, you could hypothetically commandeer someone's ship, can't say it happens much...

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

If the only thing you're missing is powergrid, I believe the highs get turned off first, which almost always results in enough PG for the rest of the mods. Otherwise, if you're missing skills, there is no order. No skills = module off.

Rigs never disable.

Except when it's left floating in a POS that you happen to have the password to, for example...
