Out of interest, what's your fit? Perhaps we can help there.

As a general rule, I would suggest starting your fit with what you want to use it for - in this case, a rack of large guns - and then add other modules in the remaining space. I assume you're wanting to fly a Maelstrom? I can tell you from experience that it works very well with autocannons, which are massively easier to fit than that artillery.

Anyway, here's a 1200 artyfit PvE Mael which fits with powergrid to spare and should easily manage any level 4 (swap out the hardeners and ammo type to match rats) - you'll only need Advanced Weapon Upgrades to level 2. If you don't have AWU trained, you'll find pretty much all ships very difficult to fit. Get it to 3 or 4 as an early priority.
