How is the Absolution for level 4s?

Currently I am in an Abaddon doing level 4s. I do them fine and in quality however they are very slow and it takes ages to complete them especially when there are multiple pockets.

As Amarr I was training for a command ship and I believe that the Absolution is the better out of the two for PVE and I would like to know if it is any good in level 4s?

By slowly I mean that it takes ages to get from location to location, like it takes about 10 minutes to go 50km.

Without having to move to an objective it takes 10 mins to complete a mission.

But back on topic, is the Absolution good for 4s?

For an Abaddon:
With my cap skills? No. Never will be able to; and even if I could a Tracking Computer is my priority.

The reason people keep asking about your fit is that a properly fit Abaddon SHOULD run level 4s faster than an Absolution. And honestly, if you don't have the cap skills to fit a prop mod to an Abaddon then you'll probably have issues with an Absolution. Work on your support skills before branching out into a bunch of other ships. The difference is quite telling.

No.

If you don't have the skills to run missions with BS fast, you won't be able to do it with absolution. It's less efficient for lvl4s as a ship, therefore you need more skills to make it work. Take the SP you would've poured into BC5, CS and command skills, and pour it into support skills.

Except you have no idea how I define fast nor do you know my skills.

I can run a level 4 in an Abaddon in 10 minutes. What I am saying is that it is incredibley slow as in speed, even with prop mods.

So get back on topic and tell me how an Absolution is for level 4s.

Less damage and shorter range than an Abaddon. But I think it would be perfect for you. It will be the best ship you have ever flown. The reason? Because for some reason you find it attractive and want it to work.

However, if you really do want to run your missions faster, about the only laser using ship that I know of that would run faster would be a nightmare, and that is only by a small percentage.

try and travel towards the acceleration gate as you enter the room, and hopefully while you are busy dealing with the rats you will have reached the gate

Abso is pretty meh for missions. It can fit a reasonably good omni tank -- which you don't need for missions -- but remains slowish -- defeating the point -- and gimped on range -- which you do need for missions. Until CS 4 the Harbinger outdamages it and only at CS 5 does it have a really clear advantage. But that's equivalent to racial BS 5, so just get a Nightmare?

And that's all on top of the unambiguous fact that medium lasers lack two things larges have: damage projection and HUGE ******* BEAMS that can perform as well as pulses with Scorch.

So no. The Absolution is a poor choice. A better Abaddon fit will do you better, and a NM/Paladin will be a clear step up.

I'm not having a problem with missions, I just want a smaller ship that can mission better.

My long-term aim is probably a Tengu.

Tengu - You answered your own question.

Absolution is a smaller ship that can mission worse, much worse.

Tengu can't mission better than a well fit/skilled BS, it just does better than other smaller ships for semi-afk mission grinding.

Op would do well to listen to the advice and get a Paladin or better still a Nightmare.

Yeah that is probably my second choice, but 900 mil isn't foreseeable for me in the next month or two.
