This is all about the letter forwarded to CCP.

EVE Online Development Strategy (CSM Edition)

Potentials — people who have never or only briefly subscribed. (90% Shiny, 10% Iteration)
Newbies — players with less than a year in the game. (70% Shiny, 30% Iteration)
Veterans — players with more than a year in the game. (10% Shiny, 90% Iteration)
Bittervets — unsubscribed veterans. (50% Shiny, 50% Iteration)

This is an ALT of a person that has been here since 2007. I have for the most part been active in one form or another. I try my best to be more constructive than bitter. If we do not let you know what is on our minds we do indeed become bitter.

Yes, I want to see more power given to Torfis team towards an effort for some kind of WIS progress. It has been promised for years.

Same. I have not yet gotten to the point of flying every ship in EVE, so more space shinies are in my future regardless of new space shinies added to the game.

What I have been looking forward to since I started playing was the ambulation feature. Ambulation was what it was called, not first person shooter mode, not space team fortress, but ambulation: the ability to walk around in stations and sit in a dingy bar making dodgy deals with shady characters.

I look forward to the reintroduction of the Gallente Pleasure Hub.

If you want to put forward a business case for WiS using the development strategy template the CSM7 document used, go right ahead.

You'll probably need a bit more substance than 'it would be kewl and awesome', 'I'm a paying customer therefore I represent everyone' and 'CCP promised us WiS' though.

Every time you post a WiS thread, Hilmar strangles a kitten.

One of the biggest barriers for just getting a future customer to try this game is no avatar. Look at almost every bigger MMO out there and you see them. New blood into this game should be reason enough. I am sure you already know this though. Happy holidays.

'Everyone would play Eve if only we had avatars and CCP would make bazillions of dollars' was exactly the thinking behind Incarna. Did it result in a massive influx of new players because they suddenly had human avatars or was Eve largely ignored by gamers post-Incarna just as it had been before?

Actually I thought the thinking behind Incarna was 'Greed is Good' and that the player base were idots

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

The last stage of Incarna (and im my opinion the best and most important stage), multiplayer enviroments, was never released, which makes me wonder what would happen when they do release those.

I am an angry vet / bitter-vet (Depending how the expansions go) with active subs (75% of my accounts have been unsubbed since the shelving of WiS) who's been around since 06 and I support this OP.

Where I would like to see development efforts invested are:

75% WiS & W.0P
20% Jesus features!
4% Shiney - New graphics, more clothes, lingerie etc.
1% FiS - Capitals & Supers

Sell World of Darkness or get it over with in 2013.

Seriously, nobody cares about Twilight Online when we could get both FiS and WiS expansions and meaningful, bug free content twice a year.

In terms of some framework or ideas around meaningful WiS gameplay, I've started and am indeed busy with allot of WiS ideas in my PI 3.0 proposal due to be posted at some stage. For those who are interested, you can read some of them in the PI 2.1 pdf document you can find here.

Eve is about Capital ships, WiS, Boobs, PI and Isk!

Actually, I'm quite looking forward to WoD, and I think CCP should, in theory, be the developer best suited for the job, as they already have a dark universe where players can portray near-immortal demigods that gradually, or not so gradually, lose their humanity. In fact, I might leave this universe for WoD when it comes out, at least for a while. And calling WoD Twilight Online is inappropriate, IMO.

I actually think that without WoD development, WiS development will be slower.

Walking On Planets = Dust.

Why re-invent the wheel?

You'd like to think Walking on Planets = Console only FPS

Some of us have other ideas about that....

Pray tell / link.... with all that development time that's gone into WoD... have we received or witnessed any playable version of it in the past few years?

Or just some fly by trailers?

Not sure about you... but I hardly call fly by trailers faster development....
