The commentators and Soundwave constantly announce ads or promos, sometimes even interrupting mid-sentence for the 'commercial break', but then no commercial is shown, just a silent logo. Are those ads blocked in some countries or what? Question

Adblock will prevent video ads from displaying, too.

They could feed the ads from where they are broadcasting the show from and then would bypass all ad blocking...

I thought it was some kind of localised thing. For example, I don't want to know of a product that can only be bought in the US.

CCP have confirmed within the Streams chat box that the adverts are localised and therefore not view able by all..those you use ad-blockers wont see them either .

But seriously you complaining about NOT seeing ads.

Lol I was expecting EVE-related trailers and ads like we got in the Alliance Tournament. Today after it was suggested here I disabled my AdBlock and indeed the ads were then displayed, but since they were just regular annoying advertising I quickly re-enabled AdBlock again Lol

And yes, the ads were localised...

Yeah, they went with monitization ads this time instead of player relevant content.

thats the new way of showing ads. By refusing to show them. Players will create threads in forums and will want to know more about the (not) advertised product.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Everyone is going to be tricked into turning off adblockers.

THEN BOOM.

like $3.92 in ad revenues before people catch on. 12032% improvement.

Are there gonna be player related ads in the next Alliance Tournament and how/who do I contact to get information on making/submitting an ad?

By player relevant content, I meant the "advertising" format from previous ATs - in-game services, alliances, and whatnot produced by players instead of RL companies paying to try to sell us RL things.

Just as a side note, please do not turn on your ad blocker while watching the stream. Ads are how the funds to support these events are raised, and if you want to see more tourneys in the future the ad revenue is going to have to be there. Its not like you are missing anything by watching the ads.

It is own3d's tournament. Have a go at working this one out yourself.
