Can you destroy peoples Pods on Sisi now

I had my pod destroyed today on the test server and i thought that it against test server rules.

When i enquired as to why my pod was destroyed i was reliably informed that i was a *** and an idiot and that i should read the rules. In fact several people commented on my sexual orientation so i can only conclude that the rules have been changed and that certain EVE members can deduce a lot about a man when he asked questions.


Your answers will be appreciated.

I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

only in the dedicated free for all system (forgot what the name was) can they pod you all they want except for on station and on gates.

Which is why I wont bother using TQ for testing out PvP builds.. Shocked

Idea is to "TEST" not get podded every time you ship gets blown to smithereens!! And as for the "Recommended" in front of each beacon.. CCP getting lazy?

Return each beacon location to how it used to be - PERMA BAN those who break the rules.

And if some muppet insists on wanting to pod people, have a new beacon call FFA - anything goes.

although there should be no reason to pod anyone when testing (unless a bug has been found & fixed). Simple as.

Im with you all the way on this one. I warped to the BC/BS and found 5 Supercaps/carriers had bubbled everything and just destroyed everything inside the spheres.

Plus its gank heaven. you fly into an area and suddenly 5 people are right on you.


I was having a great duel nightmare vs carrier when suddenly a gank fit Raven appeared and that was all she wrote.


Last one. Came in looking for a BS 1v1 and found two Bhals waiting for me.


Its a waste of time unless you go in with a group of friends and arrange your own fights

Quit being a bunch of cry babies. I'm on there all the time solo and I manage to almost never loose my pod or get ganked. If you want a 1 v 1 with a specific ship, ask in local and I'm sure someone will answer your request.

I like the way the new rules are as they allow you test more things than you could before. So what you loose a pod....you just got to the station quicker to reship! Just don't forget to upgrade your clone.

Also, think about it this way...when is the last time you got a true 100% fair 1v1 in TQ without asking for it? It almost never happens as your always going to come up against a gang. Fit your ship in a way you think could take someone down 1 v 1 and still be able to get away from a gang...its not that hard. If you fail, then keep trying and eventually you'll figure it out.

TBH i learned how to escape with my pod on sisi. its not hard once you know

Podding on test is no big deal - implants, full sets of them, cost 100isk per implant so that's not an issue. As such, it does have value for testing purposes that you won't get just "self-destructing a pod" - lag, disorientation, screen shake effects -- there's a lot more involved in being podded and that can change a bit so does need testing.

For those who want to do small "even" fight situations, arrange it for 1+ jumps out of the test system. That is "no shooting without permission" areas. As such, "lulz" ganks aren't allowed.

If you don't arrange the fights for outside that system - don't get overly ticked about it. That's like being angry at contract scammers in Jita because you didn't bother to read the contracts they offered. "Paranoia" is your friend in EVE and that shouldn't change for testing.

So individual or small gang fights - just don't even bother using that combat test system for them at all. Arrange it for other areas or you can expect "50 nyx" showing up to ruin your day.

Then what is the point in having a combat test system? Sounds more like griefing if you ask me Roll

All it does is nark off those wanting to test ship setups & guess what, those people will just stop using sisi so CCP & the whole community lose out as a whole as less people bug hunting.

Simple solution is to create a beacon where pod killing is allowed. Then you can pod away to your hearts content.

And I've not seen a bug in many years now that is caused by losing a pod!!

Again, this is just my view point on the subject

True - my view differs a bit but I'm not a major fan of FFA gank areas anyway.

If I test stuff, I prefer doing so in test conditions with preset knowns for who/what I'm fighting against. It helps provide more consistent results than "run out and shoot people!".

That's why I recommend moving out of that area for actual testing purposes. You don't get a lot of good data with an FFA where you don't know what damage types are used and the like.

IMO - and it's my opinion, such spots are there for lulz and lag tests. Outside of that - pretty worthless for tracking things down.

The test server's intended purpose is not for testing your l33t pvp builds.

This. SISI is not made for everybody to test out fits, it's made to test for bugs with new patches and fix game mechanics.

Seriously? Do you realize how long these new rules have been set in place? The SISI community has only lost about 20 people out of the over 200 that consistently use it. Let me reiterate SISI is not for testing ship fittings. End of story, the devs have even said this numerous times, it's used only for testing game mechanics and finding bugs before patches are released on TQ.

Don't like being podded? Go back to your mindless missioning in highsec. Ohwait, it'll happen there too Twisted

For all the pro-podding people in here..

I'd like to point out two simple facts:


1) PvP Is still consensual on Sisi except in the designated combat system

2) Podding is not permitted without consent outside of said combat system...


So all the "Yes it's allowed" people are correct, but only in as much as it referees to the dedicated combat system, outside that system it is NOT allowed, unless you agree to it.

Just to clear that bit of information up, so people don't get the wrong idea and think that combat and podding are allowed everywhere regardless of the participants feelings on it ( unlike TQ, where your just SOL if someone decides to gank you regardless of your location)...

We've actually had pretty much one pod-related bug per build lately. And it's enough that it happens occasionally to merit testing it.
