I tested Freighters with a variety of warp speed implants and here are the results.

143.3 AU WARP

  • No Implant - 234 secs in warp
  • 5% Implant - 234 secs in warp
  • 8% Implant - 209 sec in warp
  • 15% Implant - 209 sec in warp

It appears that warp speed is rounded down to the nearest 0.1 au/sec. The WS-608 (8% warp speed) implant
is all a freighter pilot needs to get the maximum warp speed out of a freighter.

PS: Someone should stock 8% warpspeed implants at jita for 5M/1k lp.

Also:

Acceleration and deacceleration. You spend very little time at maximum warp speed. Warp speed implants are pretty useless.

Only use is for an active scout who moves with the hostile fleet or has to relocate a lot, there's also rigs for it but there's better options for that on a scout/prober. Yes it's very much niche but GOOD scouts (proper ones, not the ones most ppl are used to) can make use of it.

Freighters spend about half the time at top warp speed for the average warp (29 au), saving 5 secs with a implant.
But for most other ships it's less than a second off warp time.

these implants mean the difference between having a safe cloaky hauler or a dead one with smartbombs on the killmail.

Not everything is as clean cut as it seems.

Although im not against changing them to increase warp speed accell too.

What? Smartbombs kill while in still warp, other than that all ships' warp acceleration/deceleration is the same, interceptor or freighter.
