I'll be patiently waiting for CCP to roll out WiS when they're good and ready. I'm looking forward to the day we can meet Dust Bunnies helmet-to-helmet (it won't be face to face) regardless of the amount of shooting that may or may not be involved. Simply being able to talk to people face to face in stations will be a great advance over ship spinning.

Keep up the good work, CCP.

They shouldn't waste time on WiS. We don't need another broken mechanic.

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

You really need to stop saying this. Your just making yourself look silly. CCP have already said irrefutably that any new WiS content that is added will have to contribute to core game-play. Everyone agrees that it should. Your saying this is literally without point and has nothing to do with the argument.

It's just not relevant.

You need to stop repeating yourself. You've said this at least three times so far in this thread without offering any actual content or discussion. Stating your opinion more than once isn't really contributing. And your not fooling anyone trying to pad the thread out with negative posts.

your are right ,but CCP offered some pipedreams and promises and failed in delivering

About Robertspaceindustries ,like i said before ,only 50 % of the features in vision realised that game would be great.
But there is a thread about it in OOPE ,better stick to that one about that game in devolepment
and lets not forget ,that this guy raised 6.5 mil ,only with crowdfunding and a existing game engine
but enough of it ,go to OOPE

You are quite correct Big smile,

I was merely trying to help separate fact from a proposed vision. CCP has failed and will continue to fail in some of it's aspirations. Not all are achievable but at least they continue to strive towards them.

But i feel the lack of commitment towards WiS is a mistake. This game needs something new a groundbreaking and WiS is that factor. It will be a missed opportunity if CCP do not act on it first Big smile

Well Star Citizen it is, then.

When that lands in 2 years this game will become a ghost town, so everyone enjoy the population while you can.

is still in found colelcting stage, will requires YEARS to produce some playable demo.
And is not even planed as MMORPG, is more like diablo, wher eyou play in insanced room with few friends.

You are totally wrong. SC will feature singleplayer campaign, private servers and a persistant unviverse.
Sure the persistant universe will have a instanced technology but you wont notice because it is seamless meaning as a player you will experience a open universe as you fly around. The instanced technology comes in layers and you wont notice.
You will be able to explore, trade, dogfight, mine and much more. The development time is set to 2 years and nothing indicates it wont be finished by then, it is also the most succesfull Kickstarter project in history.
EVE will drop as a rock once SC is released and you now this and thats why you are afraid.
But donĀ“t be because the SC developers are devoted and keeps it promises hardly you cant state CPP is.
EVE is just a placeholder for me until SC is released, then its time to actually PILOT space ships and drop this joke of game never to return 2 years from now.

PS. SC already have a full ingame demo walking on capital ships, something CPP hasent be able to do for years.

just my two isk here. WiS can possibly offer so many more options for gameplay, and to enhance immersion both of which are important to Eve. It will divert resources from balancing and creating other new content.

The key point here is: Eve is not a space combat sim, eve is PvP. Over focusing on ship to ship pew chokes out so much poential for a Sci-Fi experience that pits Everone against Everyone - on as many levels as is possible.

Imagine being like someone who plays a game they think is "a joke" for over two years.

This isn't true tbh, eve has been 100% based on space combat since day one (not to mention a large part of it is not pvp). There has been no non space-combat related game play in eve to date (there is no game play in WIS). Manufacturing/trade etc are all reliant on space combat as well. Sure after 9 years of being a space combat sim eve can branch out a bit but that doesn't mean it hasn't been a space combat game for its entire existence.

Not hard at all, EVE is a wonderfull learning experience as a future developer, the game is so full of bad game mechanics and bad treatment from devs to the comminuty so its worth every penny of my subscription. I am taking notes like never before.
I was not the one who started this discussion, and I wont continue because it will only trigger a war. I end it here, I wont jump EVE as you are willing to jump SC, I let that behaviour represent the EVE community.

100%? Really?

You might want to engage your brain before you post in future. I would say, "No offence", but it's difficult not to be offensive without underplaying what you just did there.

Yup, but the morons keep repeating themselves too.
CCP wasting time, coders, and money is a waste. If I wanted walking around I'd play any other MMO. I play Eve because it's unique. Add WiS and it loses it's uniqueness. This is a SPACESHIP game, [b]NOT[b] a WiS game. If they do decide to do WiS I'll take my measly 1 account and unsub. I won't be missed nor will I miss Eve.
