Fixed it for you. Doesn't matter if it's 1v1 or not. Split the tackle from the blob, overheat everything, kill the tackle, try to get out.

Nothing beats T1 frigs for shear adrenalin because everything goes so fast.

Yup, I love it. Beautiful thing about frig fights, that. You'll rarely live long enough to see your guns overheat.

It is so, its by far the worst combat frigate out there, and ofter the winter expansion it will most likely be the worst frigate which is desgigned for combat (atm the breacher/kestrel/tristan/tormentor are a bit worse/equal)! For example just loook at the atron (not even the incursus) it better at almost every stat it has, more dps/range... it just cant select damagetypes! ANd merlins incursuses outclass it really really bad!


The rifter sucks! (thrasher rules tho, but people who slap sebos on them should be burned)

That's why I still kill Merlins and Thrashers in mine?

Rifter is not bad. It does everything it used to. It's just that the other combat frigs have been brought up and are on par with it now.

For every rifter fit I can get a 'better' fit with on of the other combat frigs. but none of the other combat frigs can do all of it to the same ability.

No the rifter is not the I win button of frig pvp anymore. and frig pvp is better off for it but the rifter is still a viable combat frig and well work getting into as it will teach you more of total pvp than most other combat frigs that are built more specialised then it.

I like rifters Lol

The Rifter is not bad, it is just unspecified into a role like the others. And the role it is trying to fill is filled up by all four attack frigs. In other words the "Jack of all trades" type of ships and fits are no longer top dog, its the ships with a niche that are good now.

Since the Breacher looks set to become the minmatar brawler, i for one wold like the Rifter to become an arty platform, along with the other more ranged combat frigs.

No it isnt, its not even the best jack of all trades anymore, atron for example get a better armoe tank with repper, a better shield tank, a better ktiing ability, more dps, more speed, more agility. Its pure bad now!

That's probably due to pilot skill. The rifter, as a frigate, is much weaker than the newly buffed frigs. It's not terrible - it just isn't as strong as the other.

Anyone who thinks the rifter isn't bad cleary doesn't know what he is talking about.

The rifter is a free kill for pretty much any frig out there.

Pretty sure in my statement i said that the Rifters role is taken/stolen by all four of the attack frigates, but i thank you for agreeing with me.

And before you ask i agree that the rifter needs a make over, its no longer viable, but the reasons of why are clearly different between us.

i went into more detail just now on the [Winter] More Combat Frigs! forum near the end about the Rifter and so far i have had positive feedback.

Pure numbers indicate that the rifter is lacking compared to the newly buffed frigs.

But guess what......that mean jack squat is actual performance!


'useless' ships often kill the FOTM ships

Simple fact of the matter is that the landscape has been levelled dramatically and anyone who just sprouts crap about a specifi ship being the worst obviously just flys the FOTM ships and doesn't challenge themselves to think outside the box and try new things 'just to see what happens'

Look at my previous corp The Black Rebel Rifter Club, they often kill stuff that is impossible if you listen to the naysayers and eft warriors that have 'numbers' to backup their claims
