Was testing salvage drones on buckingham, I have a question.

Scanned down an archeology site on buckingham.

Salvager drones wouldn't open up the wrecks.

Was wondering if this is "working as intended" ?

If it is, could you make them where they will open up archeology wrecks?

They only salvage (Don't loot) wrecks that are blue / white (Destroyed ships).

They also have a really low chance of salvaging so it may take time.

Salvage drones never loot, they only salvage. Also, there is no difference in the quality of the loot received – salvage drones can salvage the same items as the salvage modules, the only difference being that because of lower chance they are much worse at salvaging difficult wrecks (and are incapable of salvaging the most difficult Sleeper wrecks).

Well the static wrecks in archeology sites are different, but none the less require a
salvager to open them.

I've already read that post before. It's not really clear on the point of static archeology wrecks.

For instance it says:

Quote:
salvage drones can salvage the same items as the salvage modules

So this could be taken to mean that they wanted the drones to be able to open wrecks.

But when I tested it doesn't open the wrecks.

So my question stands.

If your referring to using a salvager to gain access to another window where you take items out and physically click "Loot all" or drag and drop to your cargo hold, that is looting.

The part you are referring to in your quote is salvaging wrecks for items such as Fried Circuits or Alloyed Trit bars etc.

They are *Not* designed to open wrecks

When you use a salvager on a static archeology wreck it doesn't loot anything.

They never specifically said this.

What they said was:

Quote:
salvage drones can salvage the same items as the salvage modules

This is quite possibly a bug.

And if it's not a bug, how about giving us this ability with them.

Now go away your bad.

If you feel its a bug, feel free to report it @ http://bugs.eveonline.com or even better hit F12 in-game while doing it and report it via the in-game tool as that also collects all the relevant information rather than you having to upload it yourself on the website.

Now go away, your archeology sucks.
