The Long Journey...

...is a newly founded corporation with low tax and family friendly atmosphere.

Focus will be exploration, solo/small gang pvp.

Corporation activity will be aimed between 13.30-18.00 Eve time (EU)
Due Alliance membership, activity round the clock.

Recruitment: Is OPEN
.

Forums and killboard can be found here.

Alliance
Forums: http://yulaifederation.net/forum/index.php
Killboard: http://kb.yulaifederation.net/?a=home

Corporation
Forums: http://www.evecomms.com/matka/forum/index.php
Killboard: http://matka.evecomms.com/

Public Channel: MATKA

Future applicant is:
-Casual, has time to log in now and then
-Mature; family, work, also other hobbies than eve
-Self sufficient aka fly what you can lose.
-Independent joining a new, growing corporation is not for all.
-Has the understanding of the Eve online & game mechanics and has a certain vision of what he/she wants ingame (preferred ~1 year experience of eve & interested in exploration, solo/small gang pvp, not mandatory tho ).
-Must be active on corporation forums.
-Adequate skills in english ( written and spoken )

Area of operation: Providence ( north ).

Rules & Regulations:

Yulai Federation and Providence holders rules where they apply (namely NRDS)

Rules set by Corporation. in short.

- Normal, civilized behaviour is encouraged... as is the use of "common sense"
- Family friendly.
- Post all kills / losses

List of NO's.

- No smack
- No drama
- No trolling
- No scamming
- No Griefing

Enforcing discipline:
- General procedure is two warnings and out on third.... with minor offences.
- Major offences: Out on first.

Long term goals:

-Set up base in Providece ( done )
-Get large enough playerbase to form gangs regularly within the active time zone and encourage all members to run them (Forming gangs circumvented by joining an active alliance, thus done).
-Create active community where one can discuss anything and where logging in the game is pleasant experience

Short term goals:
-Defining and creating the corporation structure (needs fine tuning)
-Recruiting versatile, enthusiastic people who like the game and are willing and interested in creating something together (work in progress)

This corp is NOT for you if

...you live outside EU (tho alliance members online round the clock)
...you want someone to entertain you 23½ / 7... and you want it NOW!
...need someone constantly hold your hand when it comes creating content / activities for yourself
...your way is always the RIGHT one, you see only black & white, good & bad as options
...you're quick to temper, like to smack, troll, complain / whine and generally not fit in "family friendly"-theme
...if you want ship replacement programs etc services that old, more wealthy organisations offer
...you log in forums once to register and then forget about it.
...have tendency of begging and /or hassling other players
...you got irritated by reading the list above

Corp might be for you, if

...you're "main" and are willing to provide your full API information for security check
...are willing to fill in the application form (you find it on corporation forums)
...you log on forums daily to check what new there is. You can create meaningfull texts, have ideas to improve things etc
...you're casual player, not due lack of skills but lack of time
...are interested in eve, perhaps know game mechanics and eve politics well and want to discuss about it on forums/chat/voice
...like exploration and pvp... Or are interested in learning it. Not with the best, but in good company.
...you're returning player and want to freshen up your eve knowledge before heading to greener pastures
...you're interested in pvp and want to do it "solo or small gang"-style...
...you're social, but know when to let others do their "stuff"
...you make things happen? There's chance to organise and manage your own "thing". Thing being manufacturing/mining etc. whatever activity makes Eve interesting for you.
...you accept and can follow the rules mentioned above
...you're willing to provide information to those who seek it
...and generally you are interested in Eve as one hobby among others and want to treat it like one.

Perhaps bounty hunting system will finally allow me to follow the "dream I had" when I joined Eve back in (late) 2008.

Back then the truth was not as rosy, but perhaps after the patch?

Also:

Forum & KB has been up for few days, still looking a bit empty.

Thanks for evecomms team for fast and professional service setting them up... within 24hrs from placing the order as promised.

Long term planning is something one might learn in eve. Sometimes it might just turn in to skills online if in bad company.

So join us while you can Blink ( only ~250 spots left...)

....and get a calender.

Yep.

Logging on to forums at weird times, that's me*. Active playing time 13.00-18.30 eve time tho.

Now YOU have good chance to get to know the life in new miniature corp.

Where are all the noobs -no offense- that make 90% of the average playerbase in new corps? Well. Read the first post to see if you have what it takes to...

Get in.

Up from page 7.

Fact: the current noob percentage in corp is 33%. 0% consists of bitter vets.
Fact2: corp tax rate is 2,5%.
Fact 3. Kaikki suomalaiset ovat vähintäänkin outoja. Pari lisää mahtuu tähänkin joukkoon.

You have questions?

You get answers via evemail.

*ok. I have a dog who tends to wake me up at weird times...

Busy night, faded to page 9...

You feel like you want to be in mature corp?

Average age in corp~35years, beat that :)

Also: applying to my corp is just like starting eve; with eve, you spend first hour or two setting your eyebrows and jaw "just right".... With me, you spend same time and some more soulsearching for answers asked in application form... Eve IS serious business!

Finish your search today...

Didn't make it to computer until now. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=168170 If you're looking more than I can offer, check them out.

For me:
Casual (lazy) gameplay for casual, mature, busy (working) people with RL responsibilities.

Tax refugees, returning players, doctoral students, parents... or any and all combinations of these. Ok, if you're working, you fit in well too.

For those with limitless time in their hands... it might be a bit too slow for you...But you can always prove me wrong Cool

Edit x2.

I must confess. I have been talking with SOV holding entity and I suppose tomorrow I will have to rephrase some parts of my recruiting post.

Faded to page 8 but here we go again!

Yep, morning here. Active ingame +8hrs from now, earliest.

So far, forums are up and running along with empty KB.

Lot's of content in forums, still more coming. I have high hopes I find time to start filling the KB after patch day... but RL house painting task is priorised.

Changes also to NO-SOV part of the original long term goals, later on that when the effects take place...

Back to the top from page 9. Busy night it seems...

We're part of Yulai Federation now. Universal NRDS and small place to call home in Providence.

Those interested feel free to mail me, but due minor injury in RL it might take a bit more time than usually for me to respond.

Yet another day at factory....up from page 7.

You want goals?

You need to find a meaning in eve?

You like accent like Big A uses in terminator?

The Long Journey may or may not help you with these... Blink

And yes. Full api, thorough application form, evil Forum registeration combined with words like NRDS, Providence... Perhaps due time it equals with words like quality, purpose... With lots of pvp.

NRDS: shoot ~97% of eve populaation.

True or false?
Due lack of slots holders are reported to have requested the increase of standing slots. 2600 slots full

Just a bump today... busy busy...

EDIT: Added tiny bit of text... more can be found at our forums.... Cool

Yeesss...

Atm we have absolutely amazing bunch together, the youngest only at 3m SP, but sucking the amazing air of eve like no other! Then there's me at 75+m sp doing all the hard work & heavy lifting...and the oldest char, old, bald, not so bitter vet who think he was / is the god of eve -jk- with awesome pvp skills Oops at 85++ m Sp.

Common thing is: we ARE busy.

Yep. Absolutely horrible add Roll

And then localised advertisement:

Mukaan mahtuu. Meno casuaalia, paikka provi.

Lisää voi kysellä eve mailin kautta, vastailen suhteellisen ripeästi... Firma on vielä hetken aikaa ns. passiivisessa tilassa asianomaisten RL tilanteen takia, mutta tammikuussa vilkastuu viimeistään.
