One final note is that we’re also making a small adjustment to the Noctis. We’re giving it a drone bay of 25m³.

So i guess it's safe to assume salvage drones will use 5m³ space each.

I will use Logi Drones instead of Salvage Drones.

Here's what we currently have on our plate for Retribution:

    ECM
*Reduce Optimal Range and Falloff of all ECM modules by 10%
*Add to the Optimal Range and Falloff bonus on ECM range bonused ships by 2.5% for the Blackbird, Kitsune and Tengu Obfuscation Manifold (bringing it to 12.5%) and 5% for the Scorpion (bringing it to 25%)
*Add four new racial sensor compensation skills that increase each type of Sensor Strength by 5% per level (Requires Electronics 4, rank 3 skills in the Electronics category)

    Damps
*Increase Optimal Range of all Remote Sensor Dampeners by 20%
*Set the Damp strength bonus on Damp bonused ships to 7.5% per level

    Tracking Disruptors
*Reduce TD base module effectiveness by 5%
*Set the TD strength bonus on all TD bonused ships to 7.5% per level

    Target Painter
*Set the TP strength bonus on TP bonused ships to 7.5% per level for T1 and 10% per level for T2

We are aware of the effect the new skills will have on probing, and we're going to be keeping our eyes on it and have a few tricks up our sleeve in that regard.

We also want to reiterate that we are not looking at these ecm changes as a complete solution to the problems with that mechanic. It's a moderate change that we can make with the resources available for this expansion and that won't get in the way of our more comprehensive changes down the road.

Those beers actually belong to CCP SoniClover and CCP Tallest. They're the ones who added the dronebay to the Noctis.

I'll make sure they see this thread so they know their work is appreciated.

An example I quickly knocked up.
full rack of small neuts in the highs, large ASB + boost amp in the mids, couple of drone damage amps in the lows along with a DCII, 2 drone rigs and a shield rig in the rig slots, off the current specs with a bit of theory crafting and all skills 5 looking at a 240 dps tank, guesstimate of around 135 dps from a flight of hobgoblin 2s, cap stable with 4 nuets running. (not taking into account any ASB changes from the expansion)

I'm pretty sure someone else will come up with a much more interesting take on a combat noctis.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Well, it was you that CCP Punkturis told me to bribe. Which I did, then magically....Noctis has a drone bay!

Thus the beers go to you, you'll have to share with SoniClover and Tallest...

Thank you SoniClover and Tallest!!!

Now, about a simple change to the Primae...

Quick Math:

ECM: a mess to calculate quickly, but fundamentally, these new sensor skills are a huge nerf to ECM effectiveness.

TD's: Meh. Increase in effectiveness does not kick in until L4 or 5 on a ship, at L5 a bonused ship gets a 4.5% buff in the effectiveness of the TD mod.

Damps: 20% optimal buff is huge, and the buff to effectiveness at L5 is 10%. A Keres will actually be unable to take full effect since the optimal of the modules will further than the targeting range of the ship.

TP's: 9% buff for a T2 Recon in effectiveness. Given that GMP will be affecting Torps, and this TP buff, do SB's + Rapier spell trouble for smaller ships, even with the big changes to various torp sigs?

These new sensor skills (25% improvement in sensor strength) will indeed bring many ships back into the virtually unscannable range. I await the impending buff to probes and scanning skills.

Bottom line: The Arazu, Lach, Keres, and the other T1 damping boats are going to start looking real good compared to the heavily nerfed jamming boats.

Now all they need to do is tick the box that classifies all Minmatar hulls as wrecks so that they may be salvaged to death and the Combat Noctis becomes the hard counter to the Winmatar fad!
