I started a thread specifically about the bounty system.

I started this thread to see if I could get a summary of coming changes. There is at least one thing I wasn't aware of... crimewatch 2.0. Then OTHERS turned this into mostly another conversation about the bounty system. That is how conversations go. You start the conversation about one thing (like what all is changing), then people start talking about one aspect of the topic that they find most interesting... in this case, the bounty system changes.

And most of the conversation was not flogging a dead horse, it was explaining the changes to someone that did not understand the changes. And yes, there will be different people in different topics that don't understand.

You know... there is a solution to not having to read the same discussions over and over again. Do not read them. That is SOOOO much more effective that reading them, then popping them back to the top of the board by posting in them.
